What may have started as a joke is no laughing matter. The David Letterman, Sarah Palin joke might cost David Letterman more than he bargained for. Today, a web sponsor has pulled their advertising from the network: a hotel chain, Embassy Suites. A protest entitled, "Fire David Letterman Rally" is scheduled today for 4:30 p.m. Eastern time in front of the Ed Sullivan studio. Though David Letterman apologized for the Bristol Palin, Willow Palin joke, protesters contend that the apology is not enough and the rally is going ahead as scheduled. David Letterman apologized for the joke on his show last night, and though Sarah Palin accepted his apology, only time will tell how much the Sarah Palin joke will cost Letterman. WHAT? You say other comedians tell bad jokes too? That can't be true or they would be lining up on television to appologize to the people they offended, right?

While you feel David Letterman may have gone to far, the fact is you are a public figure. You have opened your private life to the public. Anytime a politician or celebrity become the media spotlight, you subject yourself to criticism and jokes of all kinds. You should of learned this by now. You have let your daughter be a spokeperson to absentinence.
David Letterman at least apologized for his remarks. Get over it and move on and do you the job your were hired for. Governor of Alaska---You Betcha!!!!!!!!

What would have happened to Letterman had he made a joke about Hillary Clinton looking slutty, or about her daughter getting knocked up? I understand the public figure thing, but where is the decency in the humor?

Did you know, she appeared in her own movie! Really, I swear. It was called "One Night In Paris". Now, THERE'S a wholesome family movie - NOT !!
