Santa Claus has gone high-tech this year and is using the latest technology to communicate with young and old alike. With Christmas just a few days away, Blippitt.com has found some great ways to contact the man in red this year.
Using the latest online tools, kids, who have historically loved sending gift lists and other messages to Santa using snail mail, can now instantly contact St. Nick using their computers.
Thus, texting Santa Claus is now a viable option. A service at the site called Text Santa allows children to receive three personalized text messages from Santa. Parents must sign the kids up and the messages start at $3.99. The date and time the messages will be sent can be chosen. One dollar from each transaction will be used to support the March of Dimes.
A free service, Portable North Pole, lets users create a personalized video message from Santa to the person of their choice. A questionnaire about the individual is filled out and a photo can be submitted as well. The information is used to create a personal video message from Santa, as well as a map with the route Santa will take to the recipients home to deliver Christmas presents.
To chat live with Santa, all one need do is go to the Web site Chat with Santa. The site provides a live Webcast where users can talk to Santa, and even play Internet games with him. A daily pass costs $2.95.
NORAD has provided the world with Santa’s location every year as he travels from the North Pole to distribute Christmas gifts. This year NORAD Santa is tweeting updates about his location, as well.
iPhone has an application called Santa Message 2U, that lets the user record a personalized message. The unique app then turns the user’s voice into the voice of Santa so a message from St. Nick can be sent to friends, family, etc. The application is a steal at $1.99 in the iPhone app store.
Christmas Dialer provides a phone call from Santa to whatever phone number the user enters. There are also three different messages that St. Nick will deliver to the recipient that can be chosen on the site.
