One of the most vocal members of the ‘birther’ movement to date has been Orly Taitz, who claimed to have President Barack Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate. The document was proven to be fake, according to Salon, but that has not deterred Taitz from her quest to prove the president was born outside the U.S. and has less than good intentions for this country.
Newser reports that Taitz is now urging Americans to bear “arms and organise in militias” as she calls the president a “Kenya, Indonesian communist usurper.”
The Dec. 28 post on her Web site, which claims to be the “world’s largest Obama eligibility challenge Web site,” comes after the attempted bombing of flight 253 on Christmas Day by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who has been linked to the terrorist group, al-Qaeda.
Taitz implies that the president has chosen a director of Homeland Security that has one of the worst records and asks “What is the real intention… Is it to provide security for us or to destroy our security? Judge for yourself.”

Taitz may be nuts but after pondering my liberal friends' attacks on conservatives, sometimes justified, but often as uniformed as Taitz's, it occurs to me that those friend's position on democrats in office (some of those friends are also journalists), largely is void of the same questioning that they apply to conservatives. It is imperative and healthy for our representative republic that the same depth of questioning be applied to any party in office, be it from individuals, but especially from journalists. On some issues, such as holding Obama to his vow of transparency, it is as though this administration is being given a free pass (because of the hate of the other party?). Both parties need to be held to the same standards of integrity and accountability. I think it is healthy for our republic that she is asking. Obama may be laughing, but it begs the question -why he has spent over a million fending off those suits, the money mostly used to prevent disclosure of his records.
Please show me John Kerry's military records.

Alan Keyes isn't a sore loser, he is just one of many on the lunatic fringe. There are many questions that birthers can answer. The most simple is that, if the birth certificate that Obama posted online was fake, why hasn't the State of Hawaii or the FBI taken legal action? Another, why would Hilary Clinton or even John McCain didn't try to present such arguments? On the first, the birth certificate is genuine. On the second, it would have been easier for both politicians to derail Obama's campaign if anything birther argued was true.
Alan Keyes is a very bright man who has worked very hard to achieve his accomplishments but the same can be said about Micheal Behe or other like minded people. What matters is honesty and truth. Something both Ms. Taitz and Mr. Keyes have been shown to distort.

The fact that those that doubt Obama is eligible to be president, is that he has produced an authenticated birth certificate. Instead of producing any proof of their "conspiracy theory" they engaging in spreading misinformation or using terms to caste doubt about Obama's character. These terms include communist, usurper ... perfect examples of this is comments made by gary rose, Conmansbrother, and swan.
To bad for them Obama's has produced his birth certificate and that Hawaii has confirmed that they have the original birth records. However, the real blow would have been Hawaii reconfirming that Obama is a natural-born citizen.
