Adam Lambert follows AMA performance with CBS Early Show (video, vote)

Adam Lambert was the source of controversy on Sunday night’s AMA awards. He followed the controversy with an appearance this morning on CBS Early Show and sang Whataya want from Me. The song is co-written with Pink and showed the softer, more introspective side of Adam Lambert. The song couldn’t have been a better choice for Adam Lambert after the AMA show that left many of his fans shocked and offended at Adam’s overt sexual display as he groped a woman, grabbed a man by the head and simulated oral sex, and finished it off by kissing a male dancer.

There were no improvised or impulsive acts during today’s show, and his vocals were right on track. He didn’t fall, wasn’t dressed outlandishly, but was dressed in simple black. His mother was in the audience and came up to offer support and said that she was taken aback by the controversy.
His second song was Music Again and its easy to see the variety that is represented on Adam Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment.

It is unclear whether the follow up performance will soften the hearts of fans that have hardened due to his AMA performance.

At the end of his CBS Early Show performance, Adam Lambert ran out the back door, greeted fans and signed autographs.
