The Adam Lambert AMA performance is another one of those love it or hate it deals. Not that anyone should be surprised, however, as the glam-rock star dubbed ‘Glambert’ evoked the same reaction when he starred on American Idol. What he didn’t do on American Idol though, is grab a dancer’s crotch, grab another man’s head and shove it in his crotch, and then make out with a male keyboard player or dancer (not really sure who that was?). Adam Lambert has quickly become the talk of the AMA awards, and many who sailed along unchartered American Idol territory with the star are quickly jumping ship.
A plethora of comments on the Adam Lambert AMA performance have revealed that not everyone is thrilled with the bi-sexual orgy fest. Many have vocalized wanting a more subdued Adam Lambert, the introspective kind that sang Mad World on American Idol. What was revealed tonight has left many wondering what happened to the Elvis look-alike singing soft, ballads.
For Your Entertainment, Adam Lambert’s title track on his new CD, has left many stating that they were far from entertained and rather horrified by his performance. In addition to the overt sexual display, some fans have stated that they simply didn’t like the sound of Adam’s voice during the performance, and then there's the fall. Yes, Adam Lambert along with Jennifer Lopez fell during their acts. Not to fear though, Adam rolled along with the disaster and continued with his routine.
What do you think? Are the critics wrong? Are those who are offended by Adam Lambert’s sexual kink fest simply prudish and outdated Americans who are behind the times or did Adam Lambert go too far and lack the vocal power to back up his performance.
This isn’t the first time that same sex kisses have been displayed during music awards. Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera shared a same sex kiss during the VMAs. Is America ready for raw homosexual displays of sex on the television screen? Raw, referring to same sex displays that are minus any hint of romance and operating solely on pure lust, as did the Madonna, Britney, and Cristina French Kiss as well as the Adam Lambert and his sexual cohorts.

All of you that have a problem w/ his show based souly on the fact he kissed another guy, need to direct your attention to THIS post. all of you need to be slapped and I swear if i knew you personally you'd get a quick visit from me. Adam did nothing more than what COUNTLESS woman in the entertainment industry have been doing for years. 1st of all realize we are in a brand new day where the focus, socially is to be true to who you are and NOT comprimise your appearance or character on what society dictates to be right! it's sick how any of you would say to your own child or friend "be proud of who you are" or any of those encouraging phrases we're all familiar with and then turn to someone like Adam who has an actual brain and know who he is and straight up discriminate cause he kissed another guy! give it up, NONE of you simple minded fools out there will ever keep Adam down or the Gay community let me remind you that gays/lesbians are people too, think if it were your own child

The performance was manic, amature, self-absorbed, tasteless. It had nothing to do with Adam'sexual orientation. He needs to grow up and respect his talent. David Bowie, Prince, even Madonna have created sensation but managed to do it in an artful way. Adam's performance was bad burlesque. He is talented enough that he doesn't need to try so hard. No pun intended.

I do however think that the media is totally wrong... he should not have been canceled from Good Morining America for this.
I mean look at Brittany Spears, Madonna and Christina Agulara. They all kissed each other. What happened to them...they became even bigger than they are now. He is a great artist and should be able to express himself in a way he wants to...but please do it at appropriate times.

Totally tasteless performance and frankly, the song sucked too. His screeching just does not showcase his talent. Don't really care about his sexual orienation, and he has shown a talented side but no class at all during that trash. Total garbage.
Why is it that gays think they have to flaunt their sexuality? I know may gays and have been to plenty of gay parties where the whole sexually explicit thing is way out in the open. Men running around in panties, or nude, having sex out in the open not caring who is watching, I don't get it. I don't have dinner parties with the neighbors where we all end up nude running around. Lambert's performance was over the top in a negative way. Lambert should be in a showroom in Las Vegas and not on television when young teens were still up watching. CBS is on my 'drop' list for having Lambert on tomorrow, the 25th, twice. His singing is nothing because it is drown out by all the theatrics. Good thing Lambert was not American Idols winner.
ADAM shouldn't be treated this way just because some people don't know how to TURN OFF their TV sets when something upsets them. IF this performance OFFENDED you so much why did you continue watching? FYI ... there are two buttons that you could have used ... channel selector OR on/off ... STOP COMPLAINING!! I loved his performance ... have his new CD and will continue to support him now & in the future!

Simon would call this cabaret at best. Adam has talent, but he didn't show it Sunday night. He sounded like a 3rd rate actor, not a rock star, and he substituted shock value for talent. No one would want to hear that stupid song again, it's ridiculous. I'm tired of TV wasting my time - put someone in who's going to give us a decent musical performance on the AMA awards.
It wasn't his best performance vocally but it was still great. Just like with any amazing performer half the people will like him and half won't. big deal. He will have a great career. This would not be as big of a deal if he weren't gay, or if a woman did this like Madonna and Britney.
I don’t think the problem is the alleged lewdness. The problem is the factual gayness. Too many closed mind afraid of reality and truth. What he did was not a big deal. There have been many raunchy performances before this.
Fame like this is new to Adam. He has a lot to learn but is doing well. It was not his best performance vocally but that's ok sometimes your nerves get you. This is being blown out of proportion. He is an amazing artist who be around for a long time.
If it were just a kiss..that wouldn't have been nearly as offensive as all the other lewd gestures...like a bad sex video. Why have Hollywood producers been allowed to go so far, pushing porn on major tv channels, all in the name of "freedom of expression!" How about showing some form of responsibility to the public viewing audience? I cringe every time I see performers simulating lewd acts with poles, leather whips etc. What message are we sending to our teens and children when performers can't show good judgement? Thank God, ABC had the good sense to pull it off the air. Adam Lambert has lost quite a few fans as a result of this irresponsible and repulsive cr***p. Katy Perry falls into the same vegas trashy league as well as Madonna and Britney. Hollywood producers need to get their heads out of the sand and realize that at some point they need to draw the line and self sensor what goes on major tv stations for the sake of our impressionable children and teens.
I think Adam did a wonderful job, he got carried away but it was all for the sake of entertainment. and parents if your children are 13 or older, trust me, they've seen worse.

Nothing Adam did came close to the sexual displays of those like Britney or Lady GaGa yet Adam is crucified. It is hypocritical to deplore his behaviour and label it as immoral when female performers are labelled as "entertaining" when they do the same thing. The only thing that is shocking is the closed mindedness and hypocrisy that has been displayed by all those who have condemned Adam. And more to the point the only thing that is disgusting is the response to the performance NOT the performance itself.
It was a great performance. It is no different then any of Madonna's except for him being a man. I don't recall any crying about her and that was on ABC also. suck it up!!!! Maybe he will do the same for men as she did for women!

You are a very talented vocalist who was brought to fame by the American Idol vehicle - a family program. This same family audience watched your AMA performance in shock as you recklessly and disgustingly displayed your gayness for all of America to see. So, Madonna, Christina and Lady Gaga have all done as bad or worse than you!? How many of these types of artists were pushed to the top by a family audience? We expect and accept that kind of behavior from them - not from you - an American Idol who ended up spitting in the face of the very people who put you there. Not only did you not tender an apology - you defied the bulk of your own public and trumpeted what you did. "It was 11:00. I'm not a babysitter." It was 8:00 on the west coast Adam, 9:00 Rocky Mountain and our entire family (including our 5 year old) sat down to watch you. By the way, we sent our 3 copies of your new CD back to Amazon.com and we won't be supporting any of your efforts in the future.
love love love you ADAM....you are awesome one of a kind to me in a league of your own which is one of the best I've seen..I'm a straight woman who keep her mind open to lots of new entertainers...keep up the great work..and don't let anything people say get into your head..they are the one's who need help
