The Adam Lambert AMA performance has left many saying “Dr. Frank N. Furter, you’ve returned.” If you aren’t familiar with either the Adam Lambert AMA performance or Rocky Horror’s Dr. Frank N. Furter, please view both videos below.
Last night, after the Adam Lambert AMA performance that left viewers nationwide talking, we ran a poll asking whether you loved or hated the performance. Choices are simple and to the point, you either loved Adam Lambert and his sexual orgy fest or were offended and disgusted by it.
The Adam Lambert AMA performance has caused a plethora of user responses and reactions, but according to our poll you loved it, you may still vote your opinion in the poll below.
The Adam Lambert AMA performance is not the first time that Adam has shocked the nation with his sexuality. When he appeared on American Idol, many were left wondering whether or not he was gay, straight, or bi. Due to some photos that Adam Lambert had posted on his MySpace page, the answer was quickly revealed. There were a great number of American Idol watchers who felt that Adam Lambert was denied the A.I. crown due to his sexuality. Would America have voted differently should the photos of Adam Lambert kissing another man never been publicly revealed? We might never know. What we may find out, however, is whether or not the Adam Lambert AMA performance will hurt his future record sales.
Last night, in response to the media buzz surrounding the overt sexual display during the AMA awards, American Idol took to Twitter to ask if people would still buy Adam Lambert’s album. (hmmm, worried much?) Though Adam has definitely lost some fans (according to comments circulating the web), the poll results show that he is not in danger of disappearing into oblivion. Some AMA viewers who were outraged at last night’s performance believe the network should be fined and that their children were inadvertently exposed to sexual displays that they would have rather their underage minors not see.
There is a lot of talk about Dr. Frank N. Furter and the Rocky Horror Picture show, as the performance did conjure up images of Tim Curry strutting along stage grabbing whatever whet his sexual appetite at the time. Simon Cowell told Adam Lambert that his ‘Born to be Wild’ performance on American Idol was, “A bit like watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Last night, whether you loved or hated the performance, many agreed to the Rocky Horror reference. Adam Lambert was unveiled in all his drag-queen-Frankenfurter-glory and made an open display of his sexuality as he kissed a blonde haired dancer. Here are both videos for you to compare.

I love it when a performer is outrageous and not afraid of their sexuality. A lot of people HATED Madonna for flashing her sexuality on stage -- it didn't see to have hurt her career. I think Adam is really a rocker disguised as a "pop idol." And you know how we love our outrageous, fearless rockers. So, ROCK ON!
I hated it. I thought it was disgusting, self indulgent and gross.
Musicians need to decide whether to be musicians or smut-peddling whores. Lambert apparently made that decision last night. The song sucked and the performance was embarrassingly awful. It's not about him being gay. Elton John: Classy Adam Lambert: Trashy. Both gay, one has self-respect and respect for parents of young children.
I was not offended. However, Adam oozes sexuality with a simple move of the hips, which I would have preferred. Adam is a beautiful person, and I don't think the performance really showcased the talent and greatness of this man. All of us who saw him on the show, on the tour, and on youtube prior to fame understand the kind of talent he has. It would have been really nice if that AMA performance had revealed his greatness so more people could enjoy this kind of talent. We are patient, Adam, and loyal. Continue your efforts.
The only thing I'll say about the whole performance iiissss HE LOST ALL HIS PARENT WITH CHILDREN CROWD!!!and certainly a lot of his fan base. I'm 55 years old and to me he showed no respect what so ever toward his future.
I thought it was awsome... Its been a long time since anyone really put on a show that stunning in a long time. Way to go Adam
This loser gives gay people a bad name, no wonder gay marriage is so frowned upon, even hetros don't act like this in public
The only issue I have with his performance is, The AMA's are mainly watched by younger kids and teens. I know that there is a fine line between artist and performer but an artist or performer should size up his crowd and put on a show accordingly especially for telivision. If I was paying to see an Adam Lambert concert I would expect to see all of that and more. It was well done. Unfortunately all except the singing. Don't sacrifice the great musical artist for the sake of the dramatic art and shock
In a country that is so focused on the actions of people politically correctness obviously does not apply to the celebrities and people who are supposed to be role models for the growing youth of the America.
In my ever so humble opinion, I feel that the actions of Adam were completely outrageous. Although Adams ideals as a person may be different that what he showed on stage, however, unlikely since actions speak louder than words.
As a celebrity you have a responsibility to all of America to be a positive influence and set an example for others. However, we all cant be Payton Manning!!!
I think I smell a BOYCOTT!!!
I really like Adam, all the sexuality issues aside. Always thought he was a great singer on Idol. I did not particularly enjoy this "issue song", wasn't his best. Other comments were made, that when some females did this sort of thing it was ok - I agree this is a double standard and not acceptable, good for both or none at all. Further to this, this performance was not on an early show, so it was totally fine for the venue. Some commericals and tv shows are more risque than Adam was.
gogo adam go adam hes getting hes sex on . oh right . can i be your friend? call this number (661)944-3539 . ok.
