After a tough first week on American Idol, Todrick Hall and Jermaine Sellers were looking forward to a strong second week. Based on reaction from this season's panel of judges, however, the duo continues to take the show "utterly wrong".
While Hall and Sellers are completely different when it comes to vocal ability, the duo is unfortunately the same when it comes to re-arranging and then, according to Kara "doing too much".
Performing a slowed down, R&B/soul driven version of Tina Turner's 1984 hit "What's Love Got To Do With It," Todrick Hall delivered best after leaving his mic stand behind Tuesday.
Admitting to have taken criticism from last week's performance of "Since U Been Gone," Hall said he tried not to freak judges out with this arrangement but, failed to do so Tuesday.
According to Randy Jackson, Hall should have simply sung the song without a "wild" arrangement. Ironically, Ellen agreed stating "I don't that song helped you get any votes."
But, it was Simon who dealt a perhaps deserving blow to Hall, calling the performance "theme park" worthy.
"This is not working out at all for you," said Simon. "I don't know what's going through your head at the moment...you are getting this completely and utterly wrong."
Following Hall, Jermaine Sellers received similar criticism for his performance of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" (more on that story here....). Unlike last week, the only 'nice' response Sellers received was praise from Ellen over style. On the other hand, Simon Cowell told Sellers "I don't think you are going to be here next week".
Todrick Hall and Jermaine Sellers will learn their fate on Thursday's elimination round, airing at 8pm on FOX.

I LOVE Todrick he is Fine! and his Vaneers make me want to eat him up.Oh my GOODNESS
I WATCH AMERICA IDOL JUST FOR TODRICK AND YES I WANT TO ROCK THE CRADEL:)
Todrick Hall is a con artist that isnt man enough to sac up and own his mistakes without using the race card. First he whines about AI and not wanting to do stereotypical black guy songs, and then claims he wants to play the typical black guy on Glee. I also saw where hes blaming his broadway experience for not getting more votes .it must be nice to have an excuse for everything, justy like every other opportunistic liar con artist!!! HES A PATHETIC EMBARASSMENT, GOOD RIDDANCE! The possiblility he might whine his loser @ss onto GLEE is appalling! so is the fact he was chose to be on this show in the first place, He was not undiscovered!!! His parting words were VERY telling, I just wanted to prove I was more than a dancer ? So if this was a secondary consideration and not your big dream what were you doing there, and how convenient that as youre voted off your new dream becomes to get on Glee. LOSER! FOX: start filtering AI losers onto other shows, and I'll stop watching
