In addition to top nominees Jay Z, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona, "Rated R" singer Rihanna and "Soldier of Love" chart-topper Sade are nominated for 2010 BET Awards.
The duo, along with Monica, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Fabolous, Trina, Chrisette Michele and Ester Dean, round out this year's music-related nominees, announced Tuesday, May 18.
A leading female artist, Rihanna earned a total of three nominations for efforts both stemming from her 2009 album "Rated R" (Best Female R&B Artist) and collaborations with Jay-Z and Kanye West ("Run This Town"). Following Rihanna, Sade and "Still Standing" singer Monica tie with two nominations.
Sade's first nod comes in the form of BET's first Best International Act Award, where she is featured with Chipmunk, Corinne Bailey Rae, Dizzee Rascal, P-Square, M-I, K'Naan, Estelle, Kojo Antwi, Hip Hop Pantsula. She joins Monica in the Centric Award field, previously dubbed the 'BET J Cool Like That' Award (Monica is also nominated for a Viewer's Choice Award for for "Everything To Me".)
Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, R. Kelly, JLS, and Alexandra Burke were names missing amongst the BET Award nominees list, including the newly added Best International Act Award.
Queen Latifah will host the 2010 BET Awards, set to take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA Sunday, June 27.

Glad to see Chris Brown nominated for best R&B male but, we know how that's going to turn out... Will be iteresting to see who's will be there, Jay-Z, Rihana, Bey... they were there last year... well I guess we will just have to wait and see!
love Sade but I'll bet she does not show up. wish she would.
i wish sade shows up this time around,though i respect her being aloof from the lime light,i would like to see her show up and out in a performance that i know would be of substance,and meaning,something BET seriously lack...
