Beyonce might have been one of 2009's most successful recording artists, but fellow Grammy Award winner Lil Wayne reigned supreme when it came to touring.
According to a recently revealed list of the year's top grossing tours, Lil Wayne's "I Am Music Tour" and its follow up shows earned the rapper $32.1 million and a spot just below Cher on the Pollstar Top 50 Tours of North America 2009.
Similarly named, Beyonce's "I AM..." tour, which coincided with the multi-Platinum album "I Am... Sasha Fierce," pulled in $26.4 million in North America.
Kicked off March 26 in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), Beyonce's "I Am..." Tour came in at no. 34 on the list, followed by Il Divo and Taylor Swift, the latter raked in $25.5 million.
Britney Spears, The Jonas Brothers, Nickelback and U2 also made the list.

This is only the North American Tour which Lil Wayne had more dates but overall including the World tour Beyonce top Lil Wayne 3x times more.
And even when it comes to the worldwide figures, Billboard for some unknown reason decided to only count the grossing of 50 tour dates out of the 100 dates Beyonce did, go figure...
Um but overall Beyonce won hands down. beyonce had less North American dates because her tour was worldwide.. How come that wasnt mentioned in the article

What is this? Beyonce performed almost everywhere on the planet this year..why are they only counting the North American grossing here?? Beyonce is better than all of them put together anyway
Beyonce had less tours in America for some reason whereas other artsists had a lot of tours specifically for America.So this "list" isn't viable at all.
It will be great to watch Il Divo, i have bought tickets from
