Originally slated for a January 2011 release, 'Colored Girls' will now be release November 5 according to Lionsgate.

'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf' is Janet Jackson's third film with Perry (Why Did I Get Married, Why Did I Get Married Too?).

The film's ensemble cast also includes Thandie Newton ('2012'), Loretta Devine ('Lottery Ticket,' 'Waiting To Exhale'), Anika Noni Rose ('Dreamgirls'), Kimberly Elise (Diary of a Mad Black Woman), Richard Lawson, Phylicia Rashad, Macy Gray, Tessa Thompson, Michael Ealy, Khalil Kain, and Omari Hardwick.

As previously reported, the film is based on Ntozake Shange's award winning 1975 play dealing with love, rape, abortion and abandonment.
