Just over a week after its debut, Chris Brown's first single to be released post felony assault charges is dominating a number of charts worldwide.
Titled "I Can Transform Ya," Brown's single currently sits at no.2 on the iTunes U.S. R&B/ Soul songs Top 10 list. It breaks into the top 10 in New Zealand (no.9), Australia (no.9), and Canada (no.6) as well.
Acceptance through sales of Brown's single on iTunes follows Brown's plea and sentence on felony assault charges stemming from his beating of fellow entertainer Rihanna earlier this year.
In recent weeks Brown has made strides in moving forward, in part releasing "I Can Transform Ya" (ft.Lil Wayne); confirming an onstage comeback at Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert in New Jersey; and a forthcoming fan appreciation tour.
While the American Music Award winning Artist of the Year has a lot to focus on, including an ordered 180 days of community labor and a forthcoming album titled "Graffiti," the success of "I Can Transform Ya" and the resurgence of "Forever" (at no.1) is not lost on him.
Taking his excitement and appreciation to Twitter, Brown thanked fans late last week.
"#1 on itunes r&b charts...thank god alll the praise and thx to the fans," wrote Brown.
"I Can Transform Ya" debuted Tuesday, September 29.
