Gospel music will be celebrated with star power at BET's just announced 10th Anniversary Celebration of Gospel.
Set to air Sunday, January 10, 2010, 'Celebration of Gospel' will feature performances from 'American Idol' winner Fantasia (Barrino), Pastor Shirley Caesar, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Tye Tribbett and G.A. (Greater Anointing), Donnie McClurkin, James Fortune & FIYA, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp and more.
Taking place at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theater December 12, BET's Celebration of Gospel will be hosted by Steve Harvey and a 24-piece orchestra led by world-renowned musical director Ray Chew.
In year's past BET's Celebration of Gospel has counted actor Tyrese Gibson ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'), LL Cool J ("NCIS: Los Angeles'), and Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. among its guests.
Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir, Kelly Price, Tamia, Deborah Cox, Sherri Shepherd, 'SUNDAY BEST' winner Y'Anna Crawley, The Rance Allen Group, and P.S.A.L.M. Choir from the City Of Refuge are also due to perform.
BET's 10th Anniversary Celebration of Gospel airs Sunday, January 10 on BET.
