Poor Max B. He robbed the wrong two people on the wrong day in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'm not justifying or condoning armed robbery at all (especially if the victim were me), but I feel for Max. He has to wait for new evidence to be processed through the legal system before he's sentenced to 75 years.
Kelvin Leerdam, Max's step-brother, however, has already received life inprisonment for his role in the armed robbery of David Taylor and Allan "Jay" Plowden, which left Taylor dead.
His associate French Montana responded Friday via Twitter to reports that Max had already been sentenced:

Max had fired attorney Gerald Saluti days before he was supposed to be sentenced, so Montana is apparently holding out for a new lawyer in hopes that Max, whose real name is Charles Wingate, won't be sent up the river for 75, but for at least a little shorter time.
Max's ex-girlfriend, Gina Conway, accepted a plea deal and implicated him in the robbery, saying that Max came up with the plan after Conway's new lover, Plowden, bragged about the gifts he gave her. Saluti refuted that testimony and basically called her a known liar. But Superior Court Judge Harry Carroll sentenced the two in Hackensack, NJ.
I hope that Max B can learn from this. Let's not argue the facts here: that is for the attorneys involved and Carroll to do.
