Day26's days on Bad Boy Records were numbered - over 26, but it did in fact stop somewhere.
Day26, the nominal group that was formed during the 4th season of the MTV reality (ugh) series, Making the Band, produced by Diddy, has left the label for Warner Music Group's Atlantic Records.
Willie, a Day26 member, says although they are no longer with Diddy's label they maintain a respect for the mogul, who will turn 40 next week, and that they are still family.
Here's Will to Theboombox.com:
"Bad Boy is always our family, but we're with Atlantic right now...we really want to get people focused on the artistry, on the music. I think a lot of people lost it with the entertainment of the show. So now, we really want to show people what we're all about, that we do our thing whether it's on stage, in the studio, writing and producing -- we do it all."
Business is business, and I'm glad money doesn't break apart friendships in this case. Hopefully Diddy is willing to give these youngsters the support they need.
Day26 are no longer Bad Boys, but they make good business decisions.
Nuff said.

This might be a good thing for Day 26 because people are judging
them by Diddy's past. I think they can continue being great no
matter where they are.
I agree totaly with Makeba!!
totally!!
Bad Boy exists as a brand name only at this point, not as a functioning label once Puff deal with Warner Music/Atlantic was done and he went over to Interscope (as a artist). Atlantic had the option to pick up whoever artists they felt can still do something which in this case was Day 26
