Cam'ron: "Jay-Z saved NYC hip-hop"

Is this some type of Christmas present between two bitter rivals?

After all this diss records, press interview disses and sh*t talk between Cam'ron and Jay-Z, now Killa Cam tries to be the bigger man by crediting Hova for doing his all for New York hip-hop.

Here's Killa to hiphopbeef.com:

"Jay-Z done made it look real good. Jay-Z just sold 530,000 so it's still looking good. Whenever there's ever anybody out in New York still doing over half a million in a week, it's still available. I don't really f*ck with Jay but I got mad respect for anybody who makes money and anybody who still sells that much records after having a lot of albums out. Jay-Z really definitely did help out New York a lot."

This is a big surprise: IMO, beef did a lot to ruin the NYC hip-hop scene. But he's right - Jay-Z's sales have influenced the Big Apple's best to step their game up.

Jay-Z, Maino, Saigon, Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, the ranks of Wu-Tang, Redman, 50 Cent....... the list goes on and on - these guys make up the heart of NYC hip-hop. All this bickering back and forth is becoming irrelevant and boring to report on.

So Cam, good looking out.

Now if we could get rid of all this obsession with money, cars, clothes, drug-dealing and promiscuous behavior in hip-hop......... and I'm talking about NYC, Philly, Baltimore, the South, the West Coast, the Midwest, and else where.

And sorry about the three-day hiatus...... chalk that up to holiday preparations.

Happy holidays to all fans of all genres.

Nuff said.
