WHEN WILL THIS STOP?
An associate of Brooklyn-born-and-bred MC Fat Joe became a victim of the streets.
Mike Beck, a member of Joe's K.A.R. (Kill All Rats) crew, was shot to death during what police believe was a robbery attempt in Brooklyn last Friday, according to XXLMag.com.
East New York-born Beck spent five years in jail at an early age. His parents were addicted to drugs. He later became associated with Joe and pursued a rap career. although he was virtually unknown in the rap game, he appeared on albums by Joe, DJ Kay Slay and the hip-hop group Onyx. His voice will be posthumously be released on the album Joe Crack and Pistol Pete Present K.A.R.
Joey Crack posted the following on Twitter a day after the murder:
“Rest in peace he was a real dude mike [beck] I did records for him n he ate in my crib n drank 2 f***ed up my weekend r I p.”
His killer is still at large. The K.A.R. album will be released in January 2010 by E1 Music (formerly Koch Records).
This sickens me to no end. Just another MC becomes a victim of street violence. In fact, no one should have to die this way, MC or not.
RIP, Mr. Beck. Nuff said.

Tragic. Another prime example of why we need to crack down on violent crime on our streets.
