On Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Reardon Civic Center a holiday art sale will take place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a portion of proceeds to be donated to the United Way of Wyandotte County.
The Kaw Valley Arts and Humanities executive director, Carol Kariotis, put out a call for artist to support and celebrate the art and soul of the community in October and the call was met with resounding results. At least 30 artist and artisans from Metropolitan Kansas City responded.
Artist will offer a wide variety of hand crafted items to include visual art, fiber and textile art, photography, ceramics, jewelry, dolls, quilts, cards, books and more. The goal is to keep gifts at moderate prices to encourage their purchase and increase the donations being shared with the United Way of Wyandotte County.
Kaw Valley Arts an Humanities is partnering with the United Way of Wyandotte County to sponsor the sale. The Reardon Civic Center is located at 520 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas.
