The ever-expanding list of stars (or pseudo-stars) putting out low-cost fashion lines adds yet another name — celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.
Zoe is infamous for being the go-to stylist for many top-notch celebs and even has her own Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project. She’s also well-known for her propensity to butt heads with other designers. Her supposedly affordable clothing line is rumored to be called “I DIE” — a name she sued a fellow designer in order to trademark.
Although she routinely deals with high-end designers for her clients, the strong-willed fashionista reportedly feels her personality translates better to a more budget-friendly offering.
"It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure — for everybody,” she informed People.com back in March. “There’s no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That’s not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That’s my job.”
Unlike Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Richie who also have embarked on designer gigs, Zoe will probably only provide the line with her name since it really is just a licensing deal. Pieces will still maintain that Zoe-quality, however and adhere to her style foundations. Complete with clothing, jewelry, bags and even fragrance, the collection should launch sometime next year.
