The University of Michigan's School of Art & Design attracts talented students each year to a program that continues to be a leader in creative innovation. Now, the school has yet another way of enticing the best and brightest from across the country and around the world to enroll, courtesy of a new online destination that takes users inside this vibrant community.
A companion to the School of Art & Design's primary Web site, PLAY is an interactive showcase for the magnificent work produced within its buildings. Bursting with information, the site brings to life the work of undergrads, faculty, and visiting artists. The Featured section examines the people, places, and creative process, in videos such as one that focuses on Thylias Moss, a faculty member at both the School of A&D and U-M's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Browse this and all videos.
Other highlights include a piece on the Stories page about the making of snowflake formations, borne of a collaboration between students and Tiny Circus, which set up shop on the Ann Arbor campus for two days last fall. More can be found in the PLAY blog, which features posts on topics like the wonder of digital ceramics and an A&D alum's high praise for the work of Sue Doeksen.
Explore PLAY, then discover further developments in the arts at U-M on its superb Montage portal.
