The Michigan Wolverines ice hockey team will face off against the Ferris State Bulldogs in a home-and-home series that begins Friday night in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines, tied for sixth in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) standings with Notre Dame, own an 8-7-1 win-loss-tie record in conference play and are 13-10-1 overall for the 2009-10 season. The Bulldogs, ranked ninth in this week's USA Today/USA Hockey men's poll, are third in the CCHA with a 10-4-2 record and are 16-6-2 overall.

Michigan junior forward Carl Hagelin, taken by the New York Rangers in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft, and Ferris State senior left winger Blair Riley are tied for third place in overall scoring among CCHA players for the 2009-10 campaign, with a 1.12 points-per-game (PPG) average. In conference games, Riley is tied for fourth place at 1.19 PPG while Hagelin is tied for seventh place at 1.06 PPG. Both players lead their respective teams in each statistical category.

The Wolverines will host Friday's meeting at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor while the Bulldogs will don the home jerseys for Saturday's pairing at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Michigan. CBS College Sports will televise both games, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Ticket information is available online at the U-M and FSU team Web sites.

On Friday, FOX Sports Detroit will unveil a new season of its CCHA All-Access program, with host Mickey York. The premiere episode will include a look at the Bulldogs and their strong performance this season.
