Part 3: Don't believe Non-believers and Kill them, too!

Instead of showing you a bunch of verses in the Qur'an that explain this better, I thought I'd show you what the Bible has to say about it. Let it be known that the Qur'an does not say to kill non-believers. On the contrary, it says that if they fight you, to fight them back and if they stop, to stop. If they try to kill you, you should fight. It says you can only do self-defense, not blatantly killing non-believers, as the Bible instructs.

  1. The Bible says you should destroy non-believers. See Exodus 22:20.
  2. It also says to stay away from non-believers and not to believe them. It says you should kill them all.
  3. It says that God hates non-believers.
  4. In 2 Chronicles Chapter 15 it says that you should execute non-believers and that by executing them it will bring peace.
  5. Psalms also speaks more about it, as does Jeremiah.
  6. Jeremiah Ch 9 actually says that all non-believers are liars and you shouldn't believe them or even trust them at all.
  7. 2 Corinthians Chapter 6 says that you should not even be friends with non-believers and definitely not marry them.
  8. 2 Timothy says you should shun non-believers.

That sums up the response to the accusations of the propaganda video, Three Things About Islam. As you've seen there isn't much to fear when you compare it to Christianity. The media and people ignorant of Islam have twisted the truth and created a monster. We've got to stop this hate before it gets any more out of hand. Our religions all teach to love each other. Let's practice that.

It's fair to say that we should all stop pointing fingers at each other, especially without first examining our own faiths. Each faith is full of stuff that can be perceived as good & bad and should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt. This hate between the West and Islam is completely absurd. There are so many similarities between the religions of Christianity and Islam. Even the things Americans (75% of which are Christian) fear about Islam are also written in the Bible, as you've now seen. The Qur'an is even full of the same Bible stories about Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist, Jesus, Mary, etc. Beleive it or not, Muslims, just as Christians, believe that Jesus will come back for Armageddon.

Unfortunately we Americans are being exposed to anti-Islamic propaganda on a daily, sometimes even on an hourly basis. It's not wise to believe everything one sees on television and reads in books. It’s amazing to think that all this hate and fear of Islam could be eradicated with the eradication of ignorance. All of us have the minds and the power to educate ourselves, rather than follow the ideas of the masses.

Go out and try to find peace with those who are different than you, rather than war. Try to find the beauty in others and in their faiths. Replace ignorance with knowledge, understanding and respect. We owe it to ourselves and our children to find peace with each other.
