On Sunday, January 15, 2012, a witness saw a UFO in the sky above Maccarese, Italy near Rome. This individual was able to capture video images of the unidentified flying object before it disappeared. The video of this UFO shows a white object that appeared wispy and ephemeral, like a cloud, but it appeared in a cloudless sky. Little by little, the UFO seemed to dematerialize until it disappeared entirely. It is during the first few seconds of this UFO video that the object looks most unusual due to its shape.
According to Zetareticoli2010, the "shapeshifter unidentified aerial phenomenon appeared over the sky at 14:52 [2:52 p.m.] Maccarese . . . near Rome, Italy." Unidentified aerial phenomena is the term preferred by many to describe unidentified objects in the sky because the term UFO doesn't take into account that such objects may or may not actually be flying. They may be floating, falling, drifting, hovering, or performing many other actions not adequately described by the term UFO.

Another UFO recorded in Minnesota late last year had a similar shape, but it was very different from this UFO sighting. It was red or orange in color and seemed to be on fire or emanating flames.
