Sekstett's Gjerstad,Skaset,Grenager,et al off the Conradsound sound label is a very odd and experimental piece of audio art.  The album is probably best called acid jazz and utilizes Trombone, Clarinet, Stand up bass, Guitar, Trumpet, Saxophone and piano.  The recording is great and feels like tumbling down an infinite spiral staircase with everything including the kitchen sink bouncing alongside you.  Fans of Jazz music will certainly dig this album as it's very well thought out and creates some very odd yet benevolent soundscapes.  The sounds produced using these instruments is unreal.  They seriously create a whole bed of sounds for you to uncomfortably lay your attention in and bask in the often times turbulent borderline psychotic musings of the group. I'm very impressed to hear these sounds being made with acoustic instrumentation.  Any fan of acid jazz will be pleasantly surprised when hearing this album!

The musicians involved in this project are:

Frode Gjerstad: Clarinets

Havard Skaset: Guitars

Lene Grenager: Cello

Hild Sotie Tafjord: French Horn

Borre Molstad: Tuba

Guro Skumsnes Moe: Double Bass
