Grand opening Saturday September 12 at 7pm.
New Orleans has the Funky Pirate and Pirates Alley Cafe. The Tampa Bay area has Gaspar's Grotto and Pirate's Cove Bar and Grill. And now Atlanta can join the ranks of cities with pirate themed bars; the grand opening of the Pirate's Pub is this Saturday, September 12.
Located at 3979 Buford Highway 30345, the Pirate's Pub will open it's doors 7pm. The menu features a nice array of pub fare, from mussels and crab cakes to wings and quesadillas, perhaps to reflect the varied diet of a pirate who has traveled the seven seas?
The drink list has not yet been posted, but the pub will no doubt feature a variety of tasty ales and specialty drinks. Walk the plank bomb anyone?
I am also willing to bet a million golden doubloons that there will be people dressed up like pirates on opening night, and perhaps every night. So if you feel like having some fun, grab your pirate hat, boots, and friends, and head out to the pub!
From the pub's website:
"The Pirate's Pub is a collection of some of the most scurvy mateys who have ever been forced under the colonial yoke. Though land-locked we be, the sea, the adventure and freedom she promises, is forever calling to us. Our humble public house provides a haven for ourselves and like minded conspirators. Know there is a special hell for betrayers and mutineers but if ye be of like mind, strong heart and respect the code, ye will be forever welcome on board."
I also have to post this from eventful.com because it is so hilarious. Pardon their lack of indentions!

So mark the date and make your self heard fer this will be a GRAND opening indeed!"
Atlanta supports restaurants with cuisines from all over the world, but it has been needing more themed restaurants. These types of restaurants can become great tourist spots which helps our local economy, but they can also be really cool local hangouts. Those of us in the underground scene need to support entrepreneurs brave enough to open such a great place.
So don't be a land-lubber! Head to the Pirate's Pub of Atlanta and support your local pirates! Arrgh!
