Don't know about you, but a job being around ukuleles all day sounds pretty cool. One ukulele store is offering just an opportunity - but there's a catch. It's in Singapore.
The store is Ukulele Movement, and it's at 38 Dunlap Street in Singapore. It advertises itself as Singapore's first and only music shop specializing in ukes. Their brands include Kamaka, KoAloha, Ohana, DaSilva, Kala Brand and Mainland Ukes, among others. Also available are Eleukes, which aresolid-body electric ukes. There's also Aquila strings and accessories like books and DVDs.
According to its website, Ukulele Movement is now hiring staff to be involved in retail (including sales assistants and store manager), events, workshops and concerts. Freelance uke teachers with at least one year of experience can also apply.
