It might be 2010, but one of British politics’ oldest hatred has reared its ugly head once again. It happened in a recent UK debate among candidates for Labour leader.
I am not referring to that oldest hatred as recently exemplified by Helen Thomas in her rant against Jews. This hatred can seemlingly lead to murderous thoughts nonetheless.
We have no idea if, like Thomas’ hate filled rant, this one will cause anyone to resign http://politi.co/cvQC8N or be dropped by their agent. http://bit.ly/d1lPF4
One would hope that people might take a second look at voting for the person who expressed it. In this case its that most British of hatreds that has raised its head. This time in a most stunning way. What hatred, or as we might now put it, derangement syndrome would this be to cause a call to murder?
I am in fact referring to Thatcher Derangement Syndrome, which like Bush Derangement Syndrome http://bit.ly/dAZCQ2, continues apace years after her departure from government. Thatcher, now Lady Thatcher, has not been Prime Minister for 20+ years, yet the hatred still remains.
So bad is it that a candidate for the leadership of the Labour Party and possible future Prime Minister had this to say. http://bit.ly/8XQN56
“John McDonnell says …- and that if he could go back in time and do one thing, he would visit the 1980s and "assassinate Thatcher". The wisdom of such a statement really has to be questioned.
Even the hard-core Labour list thought the following about the comment "the wisdom of such a statement really has to be questioned".
Predictably, like the weak defenses of Helen Thomas’ statement, there are those that believe that since there is no such thing as a time machine that no one should be upset about the remark.
One thing that this clearly demonstrates is that John McDonnell is making a strong case for the hard-left vote in the Labour Party. The hard left hates Thatcher as if she were still in power and will probably eat up such a comment like a cat and milk.
It remains to be seen if the rest of the Labour Party will condemn the call for the assassination of a British Prime Minister, however fanciful. One has to wonder if the average Labour Party member believes its apt to have a leader with such murderous thoughts in his mind.
It is clear that the crowded Labour leadership battle is exposing all sorts of thought that lies in the minds of Labour MPs. Political watchers have something to watch over the long and dull summer months.

I find it hard to believe that Great Briton with one foot in the grave and the other slipping in that direction still wants to vote for socialist parties when it is a proven historical fact that not one that is negative one socialist countries have ever in the history of mankind been successful. The only thing you folks over there do dumber than that is let those Muslim thugs get away with so much.
