Confirmation at last of what every true Briton already knew: the British are best.
Well, the British are the best at something according to this survey:
Researchers in Holland measured the sexual performance of nearly 500 men from five countries against the clock.
They found that British men had sex for 10 minutes on average before reaching an orgasm.
That 10 minutes put British men right at the top of the table. Other races (not that the British are a race but still....) performed, if not less well, at least for shorter periods of time.
Americans managed to hang on for only eight minutes, the Dutch 6.5 and the Spanish 4.9. Turks trailed in last, clocking up an average 4.4 minutes. One man, whose nationality was not identified, lasted just SIX SECONDS.
It should be pointed out in defence of that last unfortunate (or perhaps his unfortunate partner) that the academics were indeed attempting to study premature ejaculation so he was at least an interesting subject from that point of view.
Perhaps the less surprising part of the survey was this:
But men who drank alcohol before sex tended to last longer.
So a few beers beforehand would seem to increase performance: all very well but are we certain that what the ladies are actually after is 10 minutes of beery breath?
