UFO Traffic Report: triangle UFO low in sky over Connecticut

CN, May 15, 2009 - Three bright glowing lights in the shape of a triangle.

11:30 at night at my friends house Me and my friends go outside and we just happen to look up at the sky and see some planes go by but then this triangle shaped figure with three white bright glowing lights flying low in the sky going at least 30 mph goes by in a straight path. Me and my friends were just shocked because of how big it was compared to the planes and I thought it strange that the lights were big and bright/glowing. The figure when flying made a humming noise. I kept watching the figure until I couldn't see it anymore.

CA, June 10, 2009 - Strange hovering/ buzzing craft on the edge of Calaveras Canyon.

My boyfriend and I like to take night nature drives on the backside of Calaveras Rd. Through the canyon from Fremont to Milpitas. With hopes of seeing bobcats or mountain lions, strange owls, etc. Last night,June 9, we left at about 11:15pm. We're driving along, pointing out the diffrent lights (planes, since it is in the flight path of most major airports for the area). At approximately the last 2 miles of the drive about 12:15 am June 10th, my boyfriend yells, "what the F*** is that!?", I look up and see a HUGE red and blue light, hovering right above the top of the mountain. (Way too close to be an airplane) The lights were flashing in such a way that there was no pattern to them. The craft's outline was hard to make out since the lights were so large on it. My best assumption would be disc or boomerang. We were about 200ft from it at first and at one point it came very close to where we were and i had only caught one side which was white or grey and sort of rectangluar with a round edge looking. Made NO sound at all. It was just hovering in the same spot, but moving within that spot, sort of in a circular motion. Then it zipped over quickly about 100ft to the right, then back to where it was. We stopped the car immediately. I instantly started freaking out. This was like nothing I had ever seen, the movement, the size, and NO SOUND! We decided it was best to not continue going toward it, so we stayed in the same spot for about 10 min, My boyfriend watched in amazment, I opened and closed my eyes, This was way to freaky for me! Once it started moving slowly away from our direction and behind the hill out of our sight, we proceeded foward to exit the canyon. With me still crying, we got to the end of the canyon road, where we would make a right turn to go about one mile back into Milpitas. Then we saw it again! Hovering and buzzing over a different hill, but this time a little bit in front of it, more over the city. We sat and watched for about a half hour more, as it stangely flashed and hovered very quickly in about a 100ft area. My boyfriend was really excited and wanted a closer look, so we started driving toward the city to maybe find a better viewing spot. Once we exited we saw no trace of the craft. We drove around the area for another 45 mins, still baffled and scared, we couldn't locate it again.

IN, June 7, 2009 - Bright orange object moving from south to north over Indiana.

I was watching some fireworks coming from a housing addition across a field for a few minutes and then they stopped - and a short time later I saw an orange round object come up from the southern sky and move north in a straight line - the people that had the fireworks must have seen it too - I could hear their voices and they weren't lighting any more fireworks. When I first caught sight of it, I thought perhaps it was some type of firework, but it kept moving from the south, I also thought maybe it was an aircraft and thought maybe when my view of it shifted I would see the navigation lights, but when it got more or less overhead, the object was illuminated exactly the same as when I first saw it (only a little bigger). About that time I realized I was seeing something very unusual and I had a quick thought to grab my binoculars and the camera, but I was afraid if I went back inside the house I would miss something. There was absolutely no sound, no aircraft navigation/beacon lights and the object maintained the same orange color and shape regardless of the viewing angle and distance I was seeing it - I was seeing a definite shape, and not merely a blob of light. I kept watching it move almost due north until it was just an orange point of light far off to the north and then it disappeared. I remember thinking - this is unbelievable - I can't believe I'm seeing this.

LA, June 5, 2009 - Large moving planet???

After observing approximately 25 UFO sightings during the past 12 months in and around the Westlake, Louisiana area; I am somewhat reluctant to file the attached report which I consider the least of all the aforementioned sightings. However, the sightings around here seem to be tapering off a bit as I have not had any in the months of April or May, so out of boredom from a lack of activity, I submit this report.

On the evening of June 5, 2009 at 9:00 PM, I stepped outside my house to scan the sky before retiring for the evening. The sky was extremely clear and all the stars were visible although somewhat dim due a nearly full moon.

After slowly doing a 360 degree scan of the sky three times without seeing anything remarkable, I started walking toward my front door when I noticed an object lit up in the Western sky about 45 degrees above the horizon.

The object can best be described as appearing somewhat like a very bright planet Venus, except it was approximately four times larger. The object appeared to just appear out of nowhere in the middle of the sky as it was headed North. The object was brightly illuminated for two seconds and would then quickly dim completely out of sight for 10-15 seconds and then reappear brightly for two more seconds. This sequence was repeated three times. Each time the object traveled approximately 20 degrees across the sky before it lit back up after 10-15 seconds.

There was absolutely no noise at all outside during the entire 50 seconds or so of elapsed time of this sighting.

I do not believe this sighting to be a normal aircraft due to a total silence during the time of the sighting, a lack of strobes and directional markers, and the relative size would be much larger than a jetliner at cruising altitude. Also, the speed of the object would have been much faster than a conventional aircraft. I also dismiss the notion of this being a satellite, as it was much larger and brighter than any satellite I have witnessed before. Besides, I have never seen satellites turn on and off before either.

MD, June 10, 2009 - Light displaying very unusual flight characteristics.

Last night at approx. 9:30 PM my boyfriend and I were standing outside on our back patio. It was very cloudy outside - no stars or moon was visible. I happened to glance up in the sky - If 12:00 is directly over my head - at my 1:00 position in the SW sky I noticed a small dull white/yellow light, positioned just below the dense cloud cover we had last night. The light was displaying what I would describe as very unusual flight characterics. The size of the light would be equivalent to the top of a pencil eraser should you extend at arms length. As far as color goes the light was a "dirty" white/yellow. The light would "flare" in intensity at a complete stand still then glide/slide a short distance in the sky - come to a complete halt - flare again, then glide/slide the same distance as previously moved - it repeated this flight "pattern" the whole way across the sky in a direct line over my right shoulder until it seemed to get lost in the cloud cover. The spaces it moved in between the stops was equal to 9 or 10 inches if you were to hold a ruler out at arms length. When the light stopped and "flared" it stopped for what I would say was one second. It moved at a very fast pace. When I first spotted the light I said to my boyfriend - who was facing me at the time - "What the heck is that?". By the time he could turn his head around and focus on the area of sky where I had pointed the light had moved so fast over my right should he missed seeing it. This is the flight pattern:

The "o" above was where it came to a complete halt, the light flaring in intensity then moved ahead a little stopped and repeated the process over again. I would be very interested to know if anyone has any idea what this might have been. I'm not sure Maryland has a MUFON director but any of the nearby states are more than welcome to contact me.

FL, June 11, 2009 - Flying objects about 250" up-large, concentric, lights in circles in front.

I was asleep on my living room couch without a/c on and windows open. I awoke completely and suddenly due to a loud, rumbling type sound permeating the house (like a loud train going by-but no train track nearby-didn't sound like a jet engine either). A glance at the kitchen clock showed about 2:30 A.M. I rushed outside through my east facing front door because i though maybe a low flying helicopter or something going on in the street running past my home. I-95 is also about 1/2-3/4 mile due east and I can see shuttle launches in the distance to the east or northeast.

There was something going by overhead, traveling north to south (my left to right), in front of and above me (like from 10 o'clock toward 2 o'clock), clearly paralleling I-95 and just to the west of the highway (between me and the highway). It appeared to be a few hundred feet up in the air (250'-300' or so).

What immediately looked odd to me was the fact that there was a large, concentric circle of rectangular lights and another circle of similar lights inside that under the underneath (ground side) of the craft and toward or at the front. I did n't have time to count them, but there were about 1 1/2-2 dozen, fairly bright lights (like LEDs). Toward the rear (north end) was a single, steady red light. It appeared to be centered on the mass of the craft in front of it. Forward from the red light about maybe a 1/3 of the way towards the light circles there were 2, steady. white lights, one left and one right. They appeared to be equidistant from each other, the red light, and the circular lights.

The sky was hazy because the stars were not visible, but about a one-quarter or crescent moon was visible and I saw one other "star" (no doubt a planet) i nth sky to the southeast. There was no apparent fog or haze between me and the craft. However, I could not pick up a clear outline of the craft against that dark sky. My impression was that it was rectangular, oval, or oblong based upon the placement of the lights. No neighbors appeared to be up-the windows were shut, lights off, A/Cs running. it was muggy and temperature maybe mid-70's.

I sat on my front steps for 5 to 8 minutes and thought about how odd and large the circle light pattern was as i had never seen anything like that on aircraft. it absolutely was not a standard helicoper or aircraft. I did wonder if it might be some top secret military craft be shuttled to Patrick AFB not too far south.

I went back inside for 2-3 minutes with lights off, when I heard the same time of rumble increasing in loudness. From the kitchen I grabbed a LED flashlight, and went bacl out the front door. A 2nd craft which appeared exactly like the first one had already gone by and to my right (south). It appeared to be at virtually the same height, speed (maybe 60-90mph.), and path as the first one and i watched it go out of sight to the south over period of maybe a minute or so. I did try flashing and pointing my flashlight at it, but there was no reaction.

This morning, around 8:30 A.M., I was driving when I saw a Brevard County Sheriff's Dept. car parked near my development. I stopped, asked whether any strange aircraft sightings had been reported overnight (he said "no"), and listened why he explained that I might have seen a helicopter of aircraft spraying for mosquitos over night when they operate. But, when I showed him a crude drawing and notes I had made (I was going to try to research this experience at the library because I don't have home access), he was puzzled and said it wasn't like such mosquito spraying aircraft. He suggested that if I had a camera and was lucky enough to have another opportunity and could photograph something, that the Dept. would be interested in seeing that. Relative to a sketch, I do not have access to do so.

SC, June 11, 2009 - A star orb-like jellyfish moving very fluidly overhead. Going on as I write this.

My wife and I observe this phenomena almost every night. These things are now following me. I have more than enough evidence to prove my wife and I are not crazy. Alot of this is the same as the aceti-orb phenomena. However occasionally like tonight there is something very unique about this 1 ufo I am seeing. I have only seen this type on 1 other occasion. It moves and evades like a jelly fish. Wnen we first spotted it we were going to MCDONALDS and to take some migraine medicine to friends. whatever it is it followed us home. Its over my house now this is normal in greer, sc. This town has been a hotbed since Jan., 6th, 2008. Thanks, Will0
