A Texas photographer shooting in Addison later found this odd image on only one photo taken on January, 26, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) databse.
The photographer was taking cloud images at the time and was not aware of anything unusual in the sky.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Texas MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
TX, January 26, 2010 - I take pictures of cloud formations as a hobby, found this ufo? object during a review of the pics. MUFON Case # 21894.
Background
As a relaxing hobby, I enjoy taking pictures of various cloud formations, storms etc.
Event Time:
Jan 26th 2010 at 4:54pm
Event Location:
Addison Texas at the Intersection of Arapaho and Monfort
I parked in the lot across from a Walmart to snap a few cloud photos. I did not see or notice any planes /crafts or lighting in the sky, all normal. Only later that day, as I reviewed the photos, I found the ufo? object on one of the photos.

Gee, looks a lot like one of the parking lot lights at the Walmart at that intersection. It is interesting that the pole blends in with the clouds, but it is neither unidentified nor flying. If it had been a UFO, I'm sure he would have noticed it when he was taking the pictures.
Fact Checker: My first thought too. If I were investigating this case, the first thing I would do is check the lights at all nearby areas to see if they match up. We'll see.
A few months ago somebody took a photo of what he claimed was a Thunderbird over a Walmart car park. That turned out to be a lamp - the guy went back and checked and was honest enough to concede the point. Now we have another Walmart car park, and again in low light conditions when lights would come on automatically.
What is it with photographers and Walmart? Cheap batteries or SD cards maybe?
I'm not sure it's Walmart, except there just quite a few of them. Same thing happened to me about 15 years ago, thumbing through prints I'd just had developed that I'd taken around my own home. Right there was this giant UFO in one print. I just couldn't believe it. Well, until I walked with the photo to the exact spot I'd taken it - and sure enough - there was a light attached to the side of the building that matched the UFO. It was the angle I'd take the photo, where you could not see the arm that connected the lamp to the building. But I was fooled for about 5 minutes.
*I don't like most all the pictures coming out eluding too ................they didn't notice the UFO/etc when they took the picture! Basically like this report.
The Dallas area has some really good investigators so I'm sure they will be able to answer the street lamp question to everyones satisfaction. CH - I too have seen alot of cases where the photographer claims they didnt notice the "strange object" at the time they took the picture. I think they really did see the object but it was probably something common, not standing out, not unusual object so their mind just dismissed it. Its only afterwards when looking at a picture later the person is unable to place the object because you no longer have the full view so it looks unusual. Also if he took this picture while sitting inside the car through the glass, this could be a reflection of something in the car.
I don't get to Walmart too often these days, since I live in a hickafied berg that has shaza for shopping! But I really need to take a road trip to one soon, and check out out their invisable lamp poles!!!
My biggest issue with this photograph is why is the shadow above the light source? Not to mention why is the shadow matching exactly with the bottom of the cloud? What is your shutter speed at and was the car running at the time of this photo? Doesn't look like an interior light reflection on the window...
Hi SRV,
What I meant about these types of photographs to where they examine the pictures later and think they have a UFO; We all could take lots of photos, examine them later. Then say what is this, could it be a UFO? Sure it could happen, but many times it's a reflection or a bird, balloon, airplane, Frisbee, dirt or debris on the lens. Lack of common sense being used before reporting it to MUFON.
*I bet I could go though all my old pictures and surely find a few things just as good. I know they are not UFOs though!
This object with dark clouds behind it would have most likely been seen during the time of taking the photograph. I think it's a reflection. This is probably why the person discovered it later and not upon taking the picture.
Also as you said: If he took this picture while sitting inside the car through the glass, this could be a reflection of something in the car. Most likely a reflection on the car windshield or window.
Either it's a car park lamplight or the reflection of the light inside the car when the door is open. Preferably the latter.
Maybe the submitter will see this discussion and tell us what kind of car he was driving. The CMS report doesn't say. I copied the picture and enlarged it. It looks like an inside car light more than a street light. So I went outside and took a picture in my HHR. The rearview mirror light took an interesting ufo looking picture. Anyone want to see it, I see it to Roger. Let me know. But this looks more like an overhead light. Which my car doesnt have. I did notice once I open the car door and the lights dimmed, it do make the same color light.
Hi SRV,
Nice conclusions! Also props to you for testing to see your own results of samples pics! I agree, we are on the same page with this one. I feel very confident that you are correct about it being a reflection off the interior side of the windshield or window glass. Which most likely came from one of the car's interior lights. If not, I still believe it's a reflection, but of an outside source. Still a reflection. Same as you, I'm leaning towards an inside light source from inside the car causing a reflection off the interior glass.
Best wishes!
C.H.
Yes cloud formations at 36000 feet this body of evidence at Your feet with clouds for underwear I dare say ... LOL
I'm with David. If it's an automobile's interior light what's up with the shadow above? If it's a Walmart parking lot light where's the pole? Not saying it's a Centari battle cruiser or anything but I'm not too sure the above to explanations are valid.
