Two Florida witnesses report multiple incoming orb UFOs

Two witnesses driving along the Florida Turnpike near Homestead watched two different meteor-like objects break up into smaller orbs that then moved horizontal to the ground for several miles, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"They did not fly in any formation and appeared to be travelling at different speeds and altitudes," the reporting witness stated, "and they appeared to bounce around a little."

The orbs were described as white in color. The witnesses watched them travel approximately 12 to 17 miles at ground level before being lost to the horizon.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Florida MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

FL, February 28, 2010 - 2 Meteor looking obects fall/burn up and reveal 5 (each) orbs that travel 7 miles in the sky. MUFON Case # 22081.

Place: Homestead looking west to everglades/Redlands

Driving south on the Florida turnpike at approximate mile marker 4-8

My friend and I were driving home from work and noticed what we thought was a large meteor falling from the sky. The meteor was falling for a much longer duration and was significantly larger that I was accustomed to seeing.

It looked like a burning fireball traveling at a high speed similar to a meteor. It kept falling and then split into two smaller burning fireballs and continued to fall.

I was concerned it would impact the earth but before they hit the ground each meteor split into two orbs or lights (thus four total) and each light turned and travelled horizontal to the ground for several miles. We then noticed a fifth and all five were travelling at different speeds to the west. We watched them fly for several minutes.

They did not fly in any formation and appeared to be travelling at different speeds and altitudes and they appeared to bounce around a little.

Next, we could not believe our eyes when we noticed a second fireball that did the exact same thing. There were 10 orbs or lights total traveling in two groups of five towards the west. We watched them for about 5 minutes until they were so far away they 'set' on the horizon. The lights were white with no color and we figured we watched them travel 12-17 miles or more above the ground.

This event was so unbelievable, I was shaking and in such awe I could not find my hazard lights on the car when I pulled over and we were both so 'flustered' we could not figure out how to use the phone camera. I did not want to take my eye off it for a second.

There was at least one other car pulled over on the side of the road with the passengers outside the car looking at the sky.

VIDEO EXPLANATION

FEB. 16, 2009 - A fireball streaked across the Texas skies Monday morning - causing witnesses to think that either a plane was crashing or debris was falling from the Tuesday collision of U.S. and Russian satellites.

I found this one very interesting, because I've seen similar.

    * A note to everyone......I have seen UFOs that on first sight appeared like a meteor streaking towards the ground, but they also abruptly turned up and slowed down. Two of them were Triangle shaped craft, the color of the light as they streaked was a very soft baby blue. One of them was the size of a few football fields put together. So I know UFOs can appear as a streaking meteor headed right at the ground. Others that I seen do this were not Triangles, but were more orb like and white in color or orange. I seen one of them make two course changes and stop for about 3 or more seconds and disappear. The color was white all through out that sighting.

C.H. Just a side note - looking back at my 2009 reporting, there were several stories where witnesses saw incoming objects like what's described here - and then the objects suddenly act like they're intelligently controlled. I wish I had a better linking system to drag the older reports alongside the newer ones. Would be good food for thought as we read these new reports in 2010.

    Roger,

You're absolutely correct! They would be a wonderful way to compare the past and present UFO reports. Make it happen! :)

C.H. - What's that expression? "Easier said than done?" But I promise to consider it and work on how that might happen. Would be a good linking system as new reports come in. I wrote 41 stories last week; and 19 so far this week in the first three days. I would need a day somewhere in the calendar week to ponder connections. But I agree it should be done. Having a day off is not in my vocabulary right now; but am considering Mondays.

$ of us were driving south on the turnpike and i spotted what we thought was a fireball or part of a plane on fire crashing to the ground, only it was moving very slow. Suddenly it broke into 4 or more smaller balls of light. They had tails of fire, or light behind them. When it split, they went to different directions and different angles until we lost them. We shrugged it off as an air show test run or something, but maybe not?
