A Texas witness traveling near McAllen watched an odd "formation of birds" that was "in a perfect arrow shape" with a wide wing span and "string ray body" that seemed to disappear and reappear in the sky, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The objects were below cloud level on a "beautiful clear day," and the witness is questioning exactly what they were and how they could disappear and reappear.
McAllen is the largest city in Hidalgo County, population 106,414.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Texas MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
TX, March 29, 2009 - sting ray like looking birds in an arrow formation/disappear, reappear, and dissappear again. MUFON Case # 22152.
I had just flown in from Dallas to Harlingen, landed after 12 noon. I drove back with a friend and her husband to Mcallen, my home town. Before Mcallen, we drove through Pharr Texas. I was in the back seat, and I happened to look up.
I noticed, and not too high from the sky, a formation of birds, in an arrow shape, the way your normal birds migrate, but these were not the normal looking birds. They were in a perfect arrow shape, and about 8-10 of them on either side.
They were flying in synch, the exact same time and way, these birds looked like sting ray looking animals, very strange looking birds, with a wide wing span, and bodies like a sting ray.
As I was watching, they disappeared, then they reappeared within seconds, and they were still in synch as they were flying flapping their wings all at the same time. I did mention what I saw to the 2 people I was driving with, I was a little embarrassed to mention it again.
With in seconds they disappeared again, and not into clouds, because they were way below the clouds. I've told my close friends and am embarrassed to mention it to anyone because don't want anyone to think I am crazy.
Oh and I failed to mention, it was a beautiful clear day.
1. In the backseat driving home I was looking out the window.
2. Their perfect formation and in synch flying.
3. Regular geese
4. They looked like the body of a sting ray, especially their flapping wide wings as that of a sting rays, they were all flapping at the exact same time.
5. I thought, wow, this couldn't be. There's no way, a formation of birds can flap all at the same time and then just disappear. I know I'm not crazy!
6. They disappeared.

Comments
Well,I wouldn't say he is crazy.Did his friends see anything at all?He didn't mention that as he did tell them.Life is strange sometimes we see what we want to see or imagine we see.Could have been anything. Can ufos do that.It sure was some kind of ufo.Hopefully someone else saw the same thing.People are so busy with their lives they usually don't take the time to look.Maybe some new form, because of polution.
I don't understand how they can "look like regular geese" yet "they looked like the body of a sting ray". Also, it's amazing that this took place in the future, dated March 29, 2010. Not that I doubt his experience.
Yeah some of today's generation of birds just don't know how to operate their cloaking system properly on a daily basis! Bird Brains! Especially when staying in sync with each wing flap.
* Or we could conclude that Sting Rays have now mastered flight, but suck at keeping their cloaking system functioning properly?
Draw us a picture.............was it Dragons?
P.S. I hope no one actually took my comments seriously.
A serious note to the witness:
If you don't trust your own eyes and what you saw, how should others trust what you doubted?
* * * Don't be afraid to believe it yourself, even if you have to stand alone!
Strength isn't always being in numbers, it's not just being right, but with yourself.
To thy own self be true.
CmdrDen go eye for detail!

Maybe this is a prediction?
Vision?
:)
My apologies for the date. I knew this was going to happen with the new year. Should have been 2009. Thanks for the catch.
Flying stingrays hmmm.....The exotic ideas coming out of the old skunk works these days eh? Area 51 aqua division. The men from atlantis are back folks!
Strange sighting. The first thing that came to my mind was a USO flying around in the air and it was using its under water camo on accident. :)
David, you might have something there about their camouflage. Sounds funny I know, but it sure confuses the earthlings doesn't it! Hahahaha
sounds like these

I also do believe becaused I witnessed this same event today March 30, 2010 at approx. 1615 hrs, north of loop 1604, near Camp Bullis, San Antonio TX. I was on my way home from work. I told my wife about this incident and decided to look it up on the internet, and what do I find, this article. It was though I was looking at a school of fish in motion. I have witnessed this before in my childhood, never quite understood it, but it has always left me guessing.
Im just getting home and doing research I just saw the same exact thing over the football field of my old high school. Myself and my two children sighted it.It was right above our heads!!! Clear skies there was no mistaking what we saw!!!!!!!!!!!! May 25, 2010 at approx 10PM in San Antonio, TX!!!!
I am in Florida. I am up right now researching a bird I saw Friday 07/02/10. I was on Collier Parkway in Land O Lakes, FL at a redlight. I see this bird that looked like a stingray fly right in front of me. I was on cell with friend and commented to her about it! I'm not crazy!!!!
Saw the same type thing on my way home from work this week in Gulfport, MS driving on the 605. The only way I know how to describe it -- flying stingray! Googled it and this was all I could find!
Got something to say?
