While it's tough reporting on UFOs from all 50 states - picking and choosing which cases to write about - Texas appears to be a hot spot again with 28 witness testaments in 20 days, according to reports from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
Many of these most recent reports describe sets of orange lights in a straight line.
But Texans are also reporting round, orange lights in the sky; a glowing, green object; a light flasing red, white, and blue; a giant triangle with lights at each point that is bigger than a 10-story building; two turquoise-colored orbs; a red, stationary object that blinks on and off; a fast-moving object that blinks on and off; a cigar-shaped object; several reports of one light separating into multiple lights with intelligently-controlled motions; a bright, hovering object that dims and moves intelligently; a glowing, orange ball that expands and contracts; a large, bright orange light; a dark, silent object hovering at just 1,000 feet; a large, glowing, circular object hovering in the sky; and a dark metallic disc-shaped object.

Wow! I myself have seen one UFO in Harker Heights, Texas...which is where I live. Right above my neighborhood it was hovering. It was very etheric white, and cigar shaped.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the link to MUFON...something happened in 1995 that both my mother and I witnessed and we never reported it. I reported it today!

Historically, Texas seems to have alot of UFO sightings this time of year Nov-Jan.
This would be a perfect time for one of the MUFON's "Star Teams" to go and investigate. It looks like the possibility of a flap there.

Interesting that there have been so many UFO reports in the same period as the Leonid Meteor Shower. Also, there is a star in the eastern sky at around 8pm? CST that looks like it flickers in different colors...white, blue, red. But rest assured, it's just a star. I think most (if not all) of these reports are overactive imaginations and mistaken identities.
They aren't seeing UFO's. What they are seeing is that the stars at night are big and bright (clap clap clap clap ) deep in the heart of Texas! Hook 'Em!
A Buddy and I saw this one in Lake Charles the same night except it brightened twice and Dimmed twice then Split into 4 objects and went in Different Directions.. North, South, East, and West.. Still was amazed at how bright it was.. To me it was like a reentry or something skipping off the atmosphere.

Chad I don't know what you are looking at, but some of the planets and stars are multicolored and flicker too. Also the lower/closer to the horizon they are the more atmospheric/ pollution is in the sky and this also helps to make them more colorful and flicker too. One in in the East North East that is a very colorful star is Capella. It's a beauty!
I'm not saying what you saw is a star, I wasn't there with you. I have seen UFOs appear as stars, but unless you see them move or act otherwise..... you would have learn some stars.
In UT. at 10:00pm which should about 8:00pm on the east coast, there are several bright stars and planets in the eastern sky. Mars is one, also Procyon, and Sirus. If someone wishes the exact time etc they should go to MUFON's main home page and down load the Stellarium star map program. It's free and works great! Put in your time and where you are and fast forward-reverse the time to see when the planets and stars are rising or setting and where
Chad- we solve alot of cases using that star map program. For what it is workth - I dont think the number of "space aliens" increase during this time frame, I think the sky might be clearer, the weather is cool and people are getting out more and looking up at a sky they are not very familiar with. Not everyone grew up having an astronomer as a father like I did. When I say I have never seen a "UFO" I am seeing the same thing everyone else is seeing, I just happened to know what it is, so its not a UFO to me. Last week Jupiter was so bright it almost fooled me.

As far as I know, meteors do not stop for a while and then decide to take off in a new direction....
Some people have never seen a UFO ,so I can understand your feelings.My first sighting was two small UFO's that moved fast and made moves that no known air ship could make.The second sighting was at low altitude and looked like a large super battle ship .When it took off, was at light speed and no noise.This sighting made the 11 oclock news that night.
By February.... Jupiter will soon be setting in the western sky just as it gets dark. So now is the time to see it and it's moons. Later it will not be visible. However Saturn is now visible, but you will need a telescope to see the rings.
I would suggest that those that like to sky watch use some equipment if your eyes are failing? Jupiter is very easy to spot and on most occasions you can see the 4 main moons with just a pair of 10x50 binoculars. A star map will let you know basics of what is viewable and when? This is just very simple astronomy knowledge.
The star "Capella" is in the northeastern night sky just after dark currently. It flickers and is multicolored too. I use the "Cassiopeia" group as a simple reference to locate this star. The Cassiopeia group and Big Dipper(Ursa Major) are always on opposite sides of the north star(Polaris)(Little dipper which is part of Ursa minor.). These are basic groups we all need to know to set up an equilateral mount for a telescope.

Your right, don't let others try to tell you what you saw or are seeing.
I have seen plenty and with a pair of 10x50 binoculars. I can do better than astronomers with countless thousands of dollars worth of equipment in my back yard! Something smells fishy right. Why? They are government funded, if they report UFOs then no more funding! Did you read SRV's post below? We solve a lot of cases with a star map! Can you believe that! They were not even there to see it with their own eyes! Just look for a star that was in that direction and say that is what they saw! It sounds like the old project blue book deductions, swamp gas, ball lighting, weather balloon, a star or planet, lets just forget it flight characteristic's etc and just write it off. Just because they are in MUFON doesn't mean they are not debunkers. Remember you don't need everybody to believe what you saw in order for it to be real.

that star map up top is exactly what i saw three nights ago around 9:00 pm just for one thing it was white flash with a hint of orangered on one end ,not only did it travel from west to east but it changed directions and headed north still emitting a bright white flash every so often it was not a timed flash like an air liner i was in the dallas metro area when i saw this.
Just a few comments. MUFON has alot of really good people who are seeking the truth and yes some are crazy and/or untrustworthy. Now - my approach to investigating cases. When there is a sighting of interest, I bring up star programs for that city at the time of the sighting. I also review satellite and shuttle positioning too. There is also programs for space junk too. I also will look at balloon launches etc. Having access to pilots, astronomers and NASA scientists is helpful. After looking at all the evidence objectively I list the possible and probable possibilities. Using this approach, I will eventually find a real UFO which the critics will be unable to dispute. I will then have my findings pubished in a profession scientific journal.If you guys (I'm a lady by the way) have a better, more scientific way of researching UFO's than the scientific method then lets have it. The UFO mystery will be solved but not by a bunch of jerks that see UFO's around every corner.

Your spunky too! :) I like that. Your a fighter! I'm not pro-MUFON either, but your right....a few bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch. I will have to say I'm glad there is a MUFON and other reporting groups.

Then February 27th this year things have gone crazy! On February 27th I seen 20 triangles. Some up close enough to see the surface structure. Sense then a few disc shaped ones and lots of orange star like objects, some white in color too. I've seen well over a hundred objects this year. I have to warn you, if you are not a part of the government, then beware of me. I am being harassed by them. They have ruined my life and I may not have much time before they come and get me. They set the IRS on me and claim I owe about $45,000.00 in past taxes. Which they of course want now! Just warning you contact with me may cause you trouble, do so at your own risk. G-men are hating me very badly right now. UFOs will get you in trouble with the right pictures etc. Thanks,

I have seen a ufo on 3 different occations in Georgetown Tx, they appear to be oval in shape, when i think its a plane or something it moves a bit and is completly transparent
