AOL News report on Virginia case
A Texas witness taking cloud photos on June 10 captured the outline of a circular object, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The photo uploaded with the MUFON report looks somewhat similar to a recent Virginia case where witness Denna Smith saw a black floating ring in the sky at the Kings Dominion theme park. The park says the ring is from a ride called Volcano, The Blast Coaster.
Kings Dominion is located in Doswell, VA, about 20 miles north of Richmond.
In both cases, the witness caught on camera what appears to be a perfect ring.

TX, June 10, 2009 - Taking photos and in one frame I captured the outline of a circular object.
June 10, 2009 at 8:04 p.m.
I take photos of clouds for my art projects. Sometimes I feel literally compelled to take photos of the sky. I looked at these photos through the view screen of my camera but didn't downloaded to my laptop until June 12, with only a cursory glance. I later examined all the photos, on the morning of June 17, 2009. As I examined each photo, I noticed something odd. There "it" was, dead center of one of the frames.
I would have missed it but the symmetry of the object drew my attention.
The light vs. shadowing shows a perfect circle of something that is there, yet seems to be attempting to hide. My digital camera appears to have captured the energy field around an object?
This object is not a speck of dust, drop of moisture, insect, or light anomaly and does not appear in any other frames, before or after.
Description: As I recall, I was facing East and the object would have been approx. 70-75 degrees above the horizon. The weather was quite warm. A thunderstorm had just passed and another was approaching from the West.
I am attaching an adjusted and cropped version, with this report. The original, untouched photo is safely filed away and I have sent a copy of it to a MUFON FI (Teresa Turner), who is handling another case.

Great footage of ring anomaly.Just look at the name of the location **** "King's Dominion " ?
That's just so stupid. I've been to King's Dominion several times and every time, you see that ring. The Volcano Roller Coaster puffs it out when it had the fake eruption. It's a perfect ring and it lasts a long time. Anybody would have to be pretty dim witted to think it was a UFO
I live on the west but what caught my eye on this story was the name of the town, Doswell, VA...

It never cease to amaze me how many people, upon finding an image they're unsure about, immediately construct in tehir mind a pie chart of possibilities divided 50/50 between a manmade/earthmade phenomena versus a visiting alien in a spaceship. For those of you keeping score, we're presently at several million proven of the former and zero proven of the latter. Adjust your pie chart.
LOL it's so funny, UFO, sign from god, if these people went to Burning Man festival they would go rapture themselves to death.
You can clearly see the cloud layer moving, anyone who knows about flying aircraft can tell you that the air further up is usually more turbulent, there are also different layers at which conditions change (windspeed,turblence,updrafts) I find it rather strange that this could be normal smoke, if that is in the clouds it must be what? a thousand or more feet in the air? For that circle of smoke to maintain that near perfect shape up to that height? No way. Just not possible. There are pictures of smoke rings online and you can tell they are smoke rings and none of them are more than a few hundred feet off the ground at max... they are also visibly distorted at that low altitude.
It might be another kind of prank, I'm not saying this is a UFO; it's just not smoke.
M Roberts, please take into account--among the other hundreds of possiblities you no doubt have already--the ring might be 1 foot higher than the camera, 10 feet, 100 feet (bingo, according to Kings Dominion), orrrr the lofty height that you are indicating, which admittedly makes it much more exciting. Shame it's the least likely, though. Here's a quote I like: "If you hear the sound of hoofs, don't expect a zebra is coming."

I think that those of us who have never been to King's Dominion or seen the Volcano ride, can be forgiven for thinking it almost miraculous that a smoke ring of such large dimensions could remain so perfectly round and so stable in a turbulent atmosphere for ten minutes or so as reported. I have seen real volcanoes produce even larger smoke rings which were also near perfect when they were first blown out of the crater but began to lose shape as they rose into the higher atmosphere.
That is not no smoke ring. I have been to kings dominion more than a couple of times,matter of fact I went a day after that ring thing was filmed. And I seen no ring from the volcano like that. Ever! And there is a such thing as a god who can and if he wants to can put a ring any where he wants. I mean just go to church once in awhile.

I live within an hour of Kings Dominion and have been there several times. There is NO doubt in my mind that this ring came from Volcano the ride... I have seen the rings stay intact and nearly perfect for long periods of time.
How does one "rapture themselves to death" Will? What does that even mean?
I saw a ring in the sky in Mesa, AZ. I was in the parking lot of Camden Vista Valley, I look up and there is a giant ring. It looked very similar to this one. But it was tilted. It stayed fully in tact and maintained it's shape for 15 minutes or so, as it got further and further away. Never dissipating. I didn't realize it's size until a plane flew between it and me. It was 3 times the size of the commercial jet. Truly weird. I thought it was just an atmospheric anomaly until i did a little research. Apparently sightings of these things are often in close proximity to sightings of traditional saucer crafts. Draw your own conclusions. Dimensional gate of some kind?
Ladies and gentlemen please ignore the ill-informed and obvious government agents on these and other sites attempting to make fun of and ridicule individuals that have either witnessed or are capable of stating strong opinions with regard to this topic. Actually what we are viewing all over the world are inter/outer dimensional "StarGate's". Thats right. The ability to travel great distances within our universe in mere seconds and also travel within the multiple spacial dimensions. You will notice that as the world has become a more dangerous place the sightings have become more numerous and obvious,ie: more daylight sightings. They, the "creators" are not hiding anymore. They want the citizens and governments of the world to know that they are in charge and will intercede if need be. 2012.
Action Jackson, just because you've been there a couple of times doesn't mean it can't come from the ride, does it? Nope. Not that easy buddy. But tell you what, God put a ring round something in your body: It's what your comments come out of!
i agree with that one guy. with moisture in the air and the clouds moving a smoke ring that perfect is not likely. and second there has been a sighting in Florida in 99 or a similar ring also right after a thunderstorm. and for those trying to shoot down the UFO theory you should be more open-minded. as civilians we don't know much about space or life in the universe so we shouldn't deny something that may be true just because we don't believe or understand it. after all we'll 2012 is almost here and maybe then we'll find out something.
