The UFO Traffic Report for Monday, July 13, 2009, includes 17 selected sightings over 13 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 72 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Today's reports include: A blue sphere seen over Fort Lewis where witnesses claim someone was shooting at it; and some rather odd reports of smaller objects at ground level with witness testimony out of Washington, Oklahoma, Georgia, and New Mexico; and a human-like being spotted in Colorado.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. WA, July 10, 2009 - Was Fort Lewis Trying To Shoot Down A UFO?

Two witnesses near Fort Lewis woke up to the sound of gun fire, which they claim they have never heard coming from the Fort at that hour of the early morning. As they watched from inside their home, they noticed "a blue spherical ball of light in the sky darting around and zig zagging through the sky." The witness stated that it seemed to be obvious that someone - inside or near the base - was trying to shoot down this blue sphere. Once the object disappeared, the shooting stopped. WA, July 12, 2009 - Strobing white light-very close

Three 20-something Washington witnesses driving home at 5:35 a.m. reported that a Bright Light appeared four feet from their car that was about 3-feet in diameter and just 6-feet from the car. A car approaching them skidded to a stop. One of the witnesses said the light flashed rapidly for four seconds and then "time slowed down." At this point, "there was no sound, she could not even hear the car motor running. They continued through the intersection, and became alert again." The driver of the car then refused to discuss what had just happened. It was also noted that this 20-minute car ride took them 40 minutes. They cannot account for the additional 20 minutes. OK, July 12, 2009 - black,on ground,roundish 1 ft high 3 ft across, silent, still, moved quickly toward us when we approached with flashlight.s

An Oklahoma woman and her son had an unusual experience after letting the dogs out for a late-night run. While they were trying to get the dogs back inside, they noticed an object 10 feet outside their iron fence. The son went inside to retreive a flashlight, and then lit up the object. They then began walking toward the object when the son declared the object was merely a trash bag. But as they got closer, the object moved toward them and their fence. They described the object as being between 6 and 10 feet wide, and looking "just sort of like a black hole."(witness account)

GA, June 7, 2009 - did not see anything in the sky at all

Two witnesses stopped at a red light in Marietta, Georgia, at the Windy Ridge/Powers Ferry intersection, noticed circular-shaped green lights "dancing in the intersection on the pavement." The lights then became "kind of elongated as they moved toward the car and then disappeared." Both witnesses then looked into the sky and did not notice anything. There were also no other cars present at the time. (witness account)

NM, July 10, 2009 - semi-translucent 6' x 6' ululating wave in front of me on bike ride.

This Placitas, New Mexico, witness was biking when he noticed a six-foot by six-foot "semi-translucent form" floating at ground level about 20 to 25 feet in front of him. The object had a "wavy" appearance like water. The color was a deep red, but was "barely visible." The witness saw the object again while bike riding the following night, on July 11, at a point one mile from where he saw it the previous night. He said the object did not appear to take notice to him. (witness account)

CO, July 11, 2009 - 8-10 foot tall albino/humanoid creature moves very quickly across street, into neighbors back yard.

This Colorado witness had just arrived home when an odd creature was seen crossing the street. The witness describes this creature as being between 8 and 10 feet tall, "bipedal/albino/human-looking." The creature then disappeared into a neighbor's yard. (witness account)

MN, July 4, 2009 - circular or square object, silent, orange/red light on center bottom, frisbee type flight path

After watching holiday fireworks, a group of Minnesota witnesses watched a silent, round, dark grey object with a red/orange light on the bottom center "flying in a frisbee like path through the sky." The object moved directly over them at about 500 feet. (witness account)

PA, July 4, 2009 - Two objects moving fast and erratically north to south

A Pennsylvania witness near the Philadelphia Art Museum at 10 p.m. on July 4, noticed two lights moving rapidly across the sky at an enormous speed. "The second light kept speeding up and slowing down, like it was playfully chasing the first one; it would nearly catch up to the first, then slow or stop and fall back." (witness account)

OH, July 12, 2009 - Bright white pulsing/blinking light seen in daylight sky.

This Ohio couple driving along Route 24 near Defiance, watched a pulsing and blinking "brilliant white light." The object would hover, then move up into the clouds, return closer to the ground, and would repeat this. The object then just disappeared. (witness account)

PA, July 5, 2009 - Bright orange sphere no other lights on it

A group of 10 in Pennsylvania looked south toward Beaver County, south of Ellwood City, and noticed a round object in the sky with no lights. After its speed increased, "it went higher then it just disappeared." (witness account)

TX, July 11, 2009 - Sighted pulsating yellow, red object. It flew siliently over our house perpendicular to the IAH westbound landing flight path

A Texas witness watched a yellow and red pulsating sphere moving up from the ground level and climb to between 5,000 and 10,000 feet.

The object seemed to change color and shape as it moved. The object moved over their house, then slowly flickered and disappeared. (witness account)

MI, July 11, 2009 - arrowhead formation of milky orange lights heading noth east at high speed, silent

Three Michigan star gazers watched a silent formation of between 12 and 14 "oval or egg shaped lights that were a dull milky orange color." One of the witnesses described it as a "flock of canadian geese in regards to formation of the lights." Two lights protruded off of one side, and one light off of the other side. The object moved higher and higher until it was out of sight. (witness account)

TN, March 3, 2009 - Pulsating lights; Knoxville, TN

A Knoxville, Tennessee, witness was lying in bed when his sleep was disturbed at 3:30 a.m. by incredibly bright pulsating light coming through his second-story bedroom window. This was accompanied by "a high-pitched whining/whirring sound that was almost deafening." During the two minutes that this occurred, the witness - who was lying flat on his back with his arms at his side - could not move until the sound stopped. He then ran to the window and saw nothing. He also has no other recollections of this incident. (witness account)

PA, July 10, 2009 - Murrysville: Orange UFO ball turns into weird rotating TRIANGLE UFO -SILENT FLYING

MA, July 4, 2009 - Witnessed a glowing red cylinder/cigar shaped object

Two Massachusetts witnesses noticed a slow-moving and "glowing fire red, oblong, cigar shaped object in the sky."

The object was silent and there were no flashing lights on it. "The center of the object had more of a concentrated light then the rest of it." They watched it for 10 minutes and it either disappeared from sight or just disappeared. (witness account)

FL, July 7, 2009 - a long oval shaped, upright green object moving eractically over Boca Raton.

A group of Florida witnesses at several locations watched a green orb-like object hovering just a few hundred feet in the air.

Telephone calls were made and more people came out to look at this object, and the witnesses drove to a better location - and at one point they were directly underneath the object. At the final viewing location, with multiple witnesses, a police officer arrived, who also witnessed the object.
