A Mesquite, Texas, witness reports a slow moving rectangular-shaped, black craft at 500 feet with 4 dim red lights that appeared to be one dimensional on February 16, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
"I would never have known this thing was above me if I didn't look up," the witness stated.
Mesquite is a city in Dallas and Kaufman County, population 124,523.
Reports of rectangular-shaped UFOs are more rare than other shapes - like discs - but the stories do come from various parts of the country. We reported here on August 23, 2009, Large rectangular-shaped UFO witnessed over Troy, Montana.
Texas has produced a higher than national average number of UFO reports in 2009 and to date in 2010. On the same date in Texas, February 16, 2010, two other reports were made. MUFON Case # 21927 was reported on February 18; and MUFON Case # 21921 was reported on February 17. There were 22 February UFO sighting reports in the MUFON witness reporting database for Texas as of March 17. Eleven UFO reports have been submitted for March 2010 so far this month for Texas.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Texas MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
TX, February 16, 2010 - Rectagular black craft moving very slow apx 500 feet with 4 dim red lights. NO FAA lights. 1 dimensional?.. like a flat black sheet of paper with lights on each conner. MUFON Case # 22329.
On fab 16th 2010 apx around 10:10 - 10:15 PM I was coming back from the store and was walking between the house and next door. It was just flooting across the sky right over my next door neighbors house at apx 15 to 20 mph.
It was solid black. So black it was like a void in the sky. At apx 500 feet more or less it seemed to move in a stright line no sound at all. I would never have known this thing was above me if I didn't look up. It had 4 dim red lights on each conner on the craft. Solid, not blinking. It was moving wast to east.
No FAA lights.
I don't think I remeber ever seeing a brick flooting in the sky before.
It only had one dimension! Not 2 or 3 dimensions just one.. like a flat sheet of black paper it was so flat that it was out of my sight in 30 seconds..
I guess cause it was flat and one dimensional. The very dim lights could have been plasma vents to keep it up in the air.. I dunno.. just a guess.
It was a drop jaw moment for me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
I always wanted to see a real UFO for myself all my life. Actually after seeing this thing and thinking about it it gives me the willies.
I reported this to the Mesquite, Texas police dept. Nobody else reported this thing and I could tell the cop that called me back was laughing at me for reporting it.. I ask him if anyone else reported this and he said no I was the only one. I reported it like 3 or 4 days later. Didn't think the police would do much about it anyways but thought it might help just to document the sighting. This was my "First" UFO sighting. I wish I had a camera handy but the one I do have is only a 4 mega pix camera and seeing the UFO was so dimly lit I don't think it would have been a very good picture or video.

Texas will be a great place for Space Aliens to land. Lots of bozos in the lone star state and they are armed to the teeth.
These rectangles intrigue me.This isn't the first time witnesses have described them as 1-dimensional.
The crucial element here is the witness's statement that it was so flat it became impossible to see as it moved to become edge-on to his angle of view.Think about it: that's a brilliant Stealth trick, because only observers immediately below it could see it at all. Negigible wind -drag too.Massive lift-generating potential.
Not much room for big engines of course, explaining why they are always slow.Always seen over Western half of US too, just like all the other black projects.That's what I suspect this is - we've got boomerangs and triangles, why not rectangles too?
It's a stealth project that ufology didn't see coming , if you'll excuse the pun.

Think more towards stealth trick in appearance and not actual thickness etc..... Be careful not to lose other dimensional thinking concepts by grasping one. Not all Triangles have been reported as slow. All it takes is one fast one to prove this wrong. I witnessed an extremely fast one.
Fast triangles yes, but I've never come across a report of a fast rectangle.I would speculate that it's some sort of dirigible.Internal buoyancy could sustain such a weird shape.
Obviously it must have some thickness, but who knows how much with secret technology?
Can't think of a possible military application for it, maybe it's purely a research project.
If all these different shapes that are flying/floating about are ours, and costing upteen millions to the taxpayer, then what purpose are they serving? Like i've said before, the only outcome seems to be an ET/black project abduction programme. If not, then what?
I know I might sound crazy, but I'm a college student in Denton, TX last night and I swear I saw a rectangular craft. The one I saw though was three dimensional and had a circulating red light on the top (I was not close enough to see under). I do not smoke weed and I only drink occasionally, but I had no drinks last night. I'm a honors student and I don't usually buy into traditional UFO propaganda, but I saw something last night! I didn't even have a clue people had spotted rectangular craft, until I searched it.
