Two Massachusetts witnesses watched a black triangle UFO low flying over Medfield, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The object was described as having three "brilliant white lights configured in a triangular pattern."
The reporting witness said the slow moving object was about the size of "a medium-large cargo plane" and flying at between 1,000 and 2,000 feet and traveling at about 50 mph.
The 21-year-old female and 23-year-old male were driving north on South Street near the Phillips Street intersection when they noticed the object made an abrupt turn "from WSW to NNW."
They pulled over at this point at Medfield High School to get a better look, where they noticed a man walking his dog who was also staring at the object.
As the object moved over the high school, they decided to follow it and drove along "the bus route along the west side of the building. As we began to approach the main door-entrance to the high school, the lights suddenly switched direction rapidly again, now heading directly east towards Mt. Nebo (a 200-foot tree covered hill with a large watertower on top)."
At this point, "the lights went dark and all that appeared was a single, pulsing red light, almost like an aircraft beacon but much weaker and unlike a typical strobe."
They then watched it "cruise towards Mt. Nebo yet as the single light began to pass in front of a cloud illuminated by the moonlight, it seemed to disappear into the night, likely just dropping out of visibility."
The following is the unedited witness testimony from the MUFON database.
MA, August 8, 2009 - Assumed Black Triangle lights and "gracefully erratic" movements viewed over the Boston suburb of Medfield, Massachusetts. 3 bright white lights, then just a single pulsing red light. MUFON Case # 18600.
An unknown craft with 3 brilliant white lights configured in a triangular pattern were observed over Medfield High School half-past midnight in the early hours of Saturday, August 8, 2009.
The craft appeared to be the size of a medium-large cargo plane yet was traveling far slower and "smoother" than any conventional aircraft and was completely silent. It was at an altitude 1,000-2,000 feet and was moving at approximately 50+ mph. The lights were first noticed by my girlfriend (21, of Worcester, MA) and I (23, of Medfield, MA) as we were driving home from watching The Breakfast Club at a friends house on the south side of town.
We were heading north on South St. near the intersection of Philips St. in the Boston suburb of Medfield, Massachusetts when the lights caught our attention. The tight formation of lights appeared to "instantly" alter their direction from WSW to NNW. This unusual, rapid movement is what convinced my girlfriend and I that we were not just seeing bright lights on a helicopter or any other known manmade aircraft. I was ecstatic at this point announcing "Did you see that!? You saw that, right!? Are you seeing this" to which she replied "Yeah babe, yeah, I see it, I'm watching it!".
Slightly obscured by the trees, I opted to get a better view of this oddity and pulled into the Medfield High School street-entrance. We passed a man walking his dog who was also starring up at it as it moved NNW directly above the school maintaining a slow but "steady" pace. In order to track it, I followed the bus route along the west side of the building. As we began to approach the main door-entrance to the high school, the lights suddenly switched direction rapidly again, now heading directly east towards Mt. Nebo (a 200-foot tree covered hill with a large watertower on top).
Seconds after this final change in direction, the lights went dark and all that appeared was a single, pulsing red light, almost like an aircraft beacon but much weaker and unlike a typical strobe. (Medfield is under several flight paths of planes flying in and out of Logan Int'l Airport in Boston as well as nearby Norwood Airport that handles executive jets so I know very well how regular aircraft look and sound). We watched it cruise towards Mt. Nebo yet as the single light began to pass in front of a cloud illuminated by the moonlight, it seemed to disappear into the night, likely just dropping out of visibility.
Ecstatic euphoria is the best way to describe the feeling I was experiencing, my girlfriend on the other hand just shrugged it off as a UFO sighting...
Note: At no time did we actually see what the lights were coming out of. The three bright white lights looked like spotlights but without beams coming out of them, more like massive floodlights. Their brilliance made it impossible to see the craft. When the white lights shut off the the pulsing red light appeared, it was still difficult to determine what it was even with near full moon conditions (the craft was in between us and the moon so were seeing the "darkside" of the it). I had my cellphone with me that is fully capable of taking good quality pictures and videos yet I was so awestruck by what I was seeing that I didn't even think of filming it at the time, a regret I will hold for a long time.
The following morning a US Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter buzzed over my house (less than a mile from the sighting) at low altitude. This is unheard of this far inland and distant from any bases. There are no Air Force bases or other military airfields within the immediate area. The only military installations are the Natick Army Labs, eight miles north of town, but they are situated in an urban setting, an unlikely place for testing. My friend who does not believe extraterrestrials are manning UFOs concluded/theorizes that it must have come from the labs; However, this is usually the explanation for strange activity (i.e. the Dover Demon) in the area.
Earlier this summer, two friends of mine, brothers in fact, stepped out for a smoke one evening in neighboring Norfolk, MA. They observed near identical lights and erratic, steady movements yet they could actually see that it was a very large black triangle. I tried to encourage them to report it but they didn't feel comfortable talking about it and seemed to be spooked out, a feeling I now share with them. This is not my first sighting.

I find the second to last line of unedited testimony rather disturbing.
What we dont usually think of - besides that fact that Aliens are of course visiting humans - is the variety of same!
There are at least 20+ highly diverse species, all with different primary agendas, differing 'friendliness' from mild concern, to outright disdain for humans(as their actions show their lust for violence is unquenchable); and highly diverse in their level of advancement emotionally and technologically.
Virtually all have perfected warping time using powerful gravitational fields to such an extent, that most can instantly become visually "transparent" or totally unseen instantly.
They will not show themselves outright as they know 50% of species would instantly worship them and the other 50% would try to kill them. Not to mention the complete meltdown of religion and govts as the public no longer looked to it as superior in anything.
I live right next to Hanscom Air Force Base in bedford, ma. I find this article chilling to say the least. i wrote to ufomaps about what i saw 3 months ago... i thought to be a plane coming back from cvs in town. i have seen and heard this aircraft you are describing. when i was going up a long rd near concord i saw a triangle based aircraft not moving at all it seemed, it looked like it was just hovering over a house planes don't do that, not making any sound in the direction the tip was pointed. but the engine side it u can hear a humming sound when u are behind it with a high pitch ringing. and if it goes fast u hear 2 slight booms. as if the engines are puls ing from a vertical to a horizontal motion to propel and hover forward. there are lights on it, one right underneath it in the center, red and white, sometimes looks orange. a triangle shape in a circle. well it hovered over the house then began to move forward, it shut off its light when it saw my car. it moves slow, all black
i shut off my headlights and kept driving. towards it. so i could get close and get a better view, i eventually stop my car cause its moving now but at a snails pace. the high pitch sound of the motor is so annoying but so quiet...then it disappears and blends in with the night sky... it was going in the direction of hansom air force base.
could be a expermental craft they test fly at night, could be a a enemy spy plane, but maybe just maybe, its something else.
I have had several first-hand reports of black triangular objects with white or multi-colored lights appearing at night, north and west of Boston. Most of these happened in the early 1990s. Perhaps our mysterious friends are those same ones, back for more of whatever they are up to? Maybe they never left.
Slow pace and a high-pitched (ususally means small) motor make me wonder if this was not some kind of rigid airship. Explains why it would be out at night, to conceal its bulk, with the triangular lights on a rig below it suggesting another type of craft.
Why Classical Mechanics limited.
One of the main reason why most of the people don't believe in UFO is that our Physics put limmit on the velocity of the spasecraft 3000000 km/sec according to the theory of relativity of Eistein. But the point is that Eistein and his theory was wrong. In my article I show people that any body posses two qualities: to exist as a Mass and to exist as Physical Field (gravitational, electrostatic, electromagnetic, magnetic, nuclear, etc.)...
My brother and I saw a "black triangle" one night, years ago. It was mere meters above the power lines. We could have ran faster than it was moving. Almost totally silent except for a slight humming noise, almost exactly like Michael described in his post.
No lights were visible but, in the fading light, we saw a large, spherical object poking out from in the very middle of its belly, with a smaller spherical object on each tip. In the exact spots that many have described seeing lights. There were dark lines that spider webbed out from the center to each tip in a haphazard, jagged pattern.
I almost obsessively comb the net for all information relating to this specific UFO. I've never felt such strong emotions before or after that event. It was a mixture of awe and fear of intense levels.
it was probably a stealth bomber from hanscom airforce base, they fly that low and over the area quite often.
Being in such close proximity to Hanscom AFB--I've had the luxury of seeing sealth b2 bombers also.. fly around Medfield + Needham area often. I've always seen them fly incredibly low to the ground and can move very gracefully (and silently).
Was that their first sighting of The Breakfast Club? Did they enjoy it?
Seriously tho, something about this report is a little too perfect. Also, I'm always a bit wary of people who seem to already believe in UFO's, AND have had multiple sightings. Not saying this fellah is full of horse pucky...I'm just sayin'.
p.s. - @ Matt - Brother, I don't usually go 'round calling people out, but you've left me no choice in this case. In all things sacred and profane, the possibility of a B2 being silent - in any way - is absolute zero. It is stealthy in many matters, for sure, but that ain't one of 'em.
"dangermoose", what are you yourself going to do if you have more than one sighting? Slap your lying eyes? I'm not really trying to come down on you. I would like to point out to our readers: Perhaps seeing more means, lucky, more alert, taking the time to look, watching the skies etc? Perhaps the wiser question to those who have not seen them, why is it you have not? Watch the skies, watching TV etc is not how to see them. If you look and study the skies long enough you will see them. Especially in today's times. Spend four hours a night seriously looking, then get back to those of us that really take the time to see these craft. "dangermoose" then you will be like the rest of us that have seen them, seeing is believing rather it's once or twice etc. I can't say what others saw, I was not there to see it with my eyes or my senses to interpret it. All we have is what witnesses give us etc. The only real experts on UFOs are what is flying them. Outside that everyone is just guessing.
"dangermoose" I agree with you on B2's :). I'm also happy you brought up the subject of others having multiple sightings. It does make people wonder, but it is wiser to ask one's self why are they seeing (more) UFOs. What is it they are doing that others are not is the proper approach. We should learn from them and copy what they are doing in order to see or have more sightings or even have a first sighting. I hope you or anyone else didn't take my previous post as negative towards you. I meant it as an eye opener to why some people legitimately see UFOs and others don't. Thanks for posting, this is a subject we would all like answered. Take care :). I believe that if everyone would go outside for several hours every night for a several days it would blow the lid off this subject, but most people are too lazy and lack the focus to do so. So the reality of this is we will occasionally get a sighting from someone who never has seen one before.
I am the witness. I have enjoyed viewing the comments posted to this article. This was NOT a B-2, nor have I EVER seen or heard of anyone seeing any in the area except prior to flyovers at Gillette Stadium or when a flight of them is returning from overseas. The fact that the article seems too perfect is because I put a lot of effort into it to make it as clear as possible for investigators at MUFON. Also, this was only my second sighting, the first was a high-altitude silver object "misbehaving" the known laws of physics a few years back.
I could have just said we were watching a movie but instead I wrote what movie. I didn't have to say it wasn't my first sighting but I did because I thought it might give me more credibility, not the opposite.
If you do a little digging around there are many similar sightings to mine, I won't rule out the possibility of classified military aircraft but trust me that this was no known craft. I never intended for this to be a news article...
I saw the same exact thing in 2004 in Woodstock, GA. I never did see the pulsating red light, just the three bright lights on each angle of the triangle. It was much larger than a cargo airplane (hand outstretched would not cover it). No noise, moved real slow and me and two other witnesses watched it until it disappeared.
If I saw the same thing you did, this was NOT a stealth airplane of any kind. If it was any kind of airplane, it would have nosedived at the slow speed it was flying. There were no contrails. It would definitely be a difficult task to hide a runway for such a large craft as well as its takeoff from public view. I believe this craft to be "otherworldly". It was huge.
I agree with Seren.
As a UFO investigator with www.neufor.com I can say this is very similar to many UFO sightings in the historical record. It sounds the the craft reported in the Belgian 89' 93' ufo "flap". This is a very common shape in ufology. It is likely a high tech American craft, but it also could just as easily be something extraordinary, and extraterrestrial in nature.
The truth is out there, and it is much stranger than fiction..............
please report all sightings to www.neufor.com
