A report out of Pennsylvania April 29 describes what appeared at first to be a meteor - but then the object displayed characteristics of something controlled.

Similar reports have been made across the country lately.

The witness describes the object's erratic behavior in this unedited report from the Mutual UFO Network witness database.

PA, April 29, 2009 - Meteor like object that disappeared and reappeared

I was just coming home from the store when I saw a meteor like object that disappeared and reappeared in the horizon. It started above the tree line, streaked toward the horizon at a 45 degree angle, disappeared, then reappeared taking the same path, then disappeared again before the horizon.

I thought it may have been a meteor, but it flashed and didn't continue into the tree line like a normal meteor would.

From out files, here is a similar case that occurred over Montana skies on April 6.

Montana, April 6, 2009 - Fireball streaking toward ground, disappeared for 10 seconds, then shot back skyward.

From 2 miles south of Plevna (driving from south to north), MT my wife and I saw a fireball streaking down at a steep angle. It was a bit north of Plevna and was about half way up the horizon. It appeared for 1 to 2 seconds, bright flash, the fireball, a minimal fire streak with it. It was bright, then dim, then bright, then dim, then gone at about 1/4 of the horizon. We both said wow, meteor. We were excited to both have seen the "meteor". About 5-10 seconds later the same object went shooting back skyward along about the same line it took coming down. It appeared for less then a second, brightly, then was gone. It was really moving at a high rate of speed in both directions, nearly as fast going back up as it was coming down. It disappeared after that, we spent about 20 minutes watching to see if it would show up again. Once it shot back up we both knew right then and there that it couldn't be a "meteor". We both thought we spotted a UFO and were excited about it. We even tried to mentally ask it to reappear. Unfortunately that did not happen.

And this case from Arizona with an unusual image.

AZ, March 20, 2009 - Thought it was a large shooting star but soon determined it was very different.

On Friday March 20, 2009 shortly before eight pm I went outside to look at the sky. To my surprise I thought I saw a large white shooting star descending to earth. Lost sight of it behind a building.

Almost instantly I saw it or something very similar shooting up from the same area I watched the object disappear. This object was white and arching up toward the south. As it gained altitude it seemed to have smaller shooting stars coming from the original object. It continued up until it disappeared. As soon as it disappeared another or the same object appeared traveling parallel to the ground producing smaller versions of itself until they too disappeared. This continued for approximately fifteen minutes and culminated in a white ball turning red with a green fuzzy area around it. This too faded from view then I saw an orange glow that consumed approximately ten percent of the southern sky. During the entire event I never heard a sound. Nor do I recall seeing the laddder in both pictures.I was not the only witness as someone sent in a report that very night form Peoria AZ. I did not have the digital Rebel XSI 12 mega-pixel with a 100-300mm lens at maximum extension. I grabbed my camera to take the attached photos but did not have a tripod available which resulted in the blurry photos. Multiple objects appear in the photos due to the length of time the shutter had to remain open to gather enough light. I did get some video but for some reason I can not send the files or copy them to a DVD.

How to recognize AFOs (Aliens Flying Odject) in the night sky.
Spacecrafts of aliens are better visible in the night sky, because the blue signal lights around the contour of its body, the size of which is 1 to 2 yards (we see that size at an altitude of 20 - 40 miles, whereas in reality their size is from 300-400 yards to 1 - 4 miles and more) are more visible against the background of night sky. These contours that represent individual aliens spaceships, can have the form of a circle, a triangle or a circle with a tail and so on. It is interesting to note that I saw in the sky several circles (2 - 8) connected to each other through the tail and functioning as one spacecraft. From here follows that aliens can visit each other spacecraft and in times of technical trouble can assist to each other. UFOs can move at varying speeds from 0 to 100 miles/sec and more, changing direction at any angle immediately, and thus violating all known physical laws of gravity. Since January 2008, I see them daily up to 100 UFOs, floating at an altitude of 20 - 40 miles above the ground in my area, but they can be seen by any person in any part of the world at any time.
    Camouflage techniques of AFOs.
The body itself of a UFO is invisible and merges with the color of the sky and moreover, it appears transparent. For example, if a UFO flies under a star, you'll see through its body to the star. The ability of AFOs to be invisible is one of the main methods of disguising itself from people on earth. . Therefore, the presence of AFOs can be identified in the sky by their signal lights located on the edges of the shell. Their brightness is 30-50 times weaker than the brightness of Polar Star. These lights give us an idea about the form of the AFO.
I noticed that AFOs are always surrounded by a translucent grey cloud, which may be the result of ionized air in the stratosphere. This cloud always accompanies them, regardless of how quickly they fly......

The other night as I was watching the sky, I saw a falling start or meteorite to my right, at around 1 o'clock. This one had a really large head and tail, and disappeared in seconds.

Not more than 5 minutes later, I saw another one to my left, at around 11 o'clock. One normally does not see this kind of event regularly. It has more like once in every few years frequency for me.

So, not to imply anything, I want to add my experience as a commentary, on how often is normal to see these things. Maybe that night was a rare occasion where we had a meteor rain.

This is an excellent Youtube video filmed in Piracicaba Brazil showing very clearly a meteor turning and changing direction in the sky. I've just tried posting the link, but have been informed that posting of urls or links is forbidden on this site. Just go to Youtube and search for 'Piracicaba' .

    Hi,
I also saw a meteor in the UK (Leeds)the other night. I was outside in the garden having a smoke, as always i was looking at the stars when noticed a white dot in the sky traveling east. It looked like a star it was so high up, but travelled at great speed compaired to a plane. I watched this for about 2-3 mins, as i watched suddenly a blue/white light shot across the sky towards this object. I thought it was a meteor as it faded away, then suddenly it was there again. I'm really not sure what these object were? All i know is i did see it and i'm not crazy lol
This happend on 22nd april 2009.

In Salt Lake City, on the 18th of April, at 9:41pm; I saw this streaking ball of light. It looked like a meteorite. It streaked down on an arc, then leveled off and slowed down! It became less bright as it slowed down. Then it stopped and was visible for about 2 seconds and suddenly disappeared. While it was stopped I could see a ring of light then 3 bright flashes inside this circle of light before it disappeared. *When it stopped it did "NOT" drift or fall, it remained in the same spot for about 2 seconds, then was suddenly gone. I would guess that it stopped about 3 city blocks from me. If it had not changed course, slowed down and stopped like it did, then I would have dismissed it as a meteorite.

In Salt Lake City if you watch the skies most every night from about 8:45pm till 10:15pm you will most likely see very high amber orange balls of light that move and stop over the valley. They are very high up and hover 5 to 20 minutes on average before leaving or be jointed by another one passing near by. Two weeks ago I seen at lease one of these objects 4 nights in a row. MUFON here in Utah has asked me not to report any more. I also have witnesses and pictures! MUFON in Utah is what? A cover for the US Government? Why would they want me to be quiet? It would appear that the Utah chapter of MUFON is a part of the government cover up on UFOs.
