A Tennesseee pilot watching departing traffic at Memphis International Airport reported seeing a triangle UFO with dull white lights on November 24, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The 8-year commercial pilot veteran said the object's lights were not blinking or strobing, and that it was silent. The pilot stated that the object was moving at between Mach 1 to Mach 1.5.
Sizing the object up with other known aircraft in the sky at the time, the pilot believes this object was "the size of a football field."

Following is the unedited and uninvestigated report from MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade.
TN, I'm a pilot w/ based in MEM. I was watchiching departing traffic overhead, and noticed at approx. 290 degrees a diamond shape object with dull white lights travelling at approx Mach 1- 1.5 totally SILENT! MUFON Case # 20704.
As mentioned above, I was watching departing traffic from MEM looking North in the city of Cordova when I noticed a triangular shaped object travellint from East to West at approx. Mach 1- 1.5 (I have been a commercial pilot since 2001). The object had dull white lights that did not blink, had NO STROBES, and was COMPLETELY SILENT! I passed below some departing traffic, and in relation to the CRJ-200 that I was watching, it was the size of roughly a football feild. I do not drink, or use drugs...I have studied aircraft since the age of 4....I have never seen anything like this...It left me numb.

What was one skeptic saying about someone seeing a Triangle shaped craft in Seattle? That it was near three major airports, this skeptic was scoffing at the very idea. Like noway could this be near major airports!

I live in S.L.C., UT.. I know better, but I don't think very many people believe me. I have seen several UFOs go right over the Salt Lake International Airport. (Triangles and disc's) It's one of their favorite spots to go and hover! Why not? That's where the action is! They can watch our planes come and go etc. I would if I was them.
I haven't seriously investigated this, but I get the impression there is some correlation between triangle sightings and airports. Not just this and the Seattle sighting, but others too. In the early 90s an airliner had a very near miss with a triangle on it's approach to Manchester airport, UK.
Can't think why this might be, but you would think airports would be the last places any sort of UFO would go near.

I'm very sure from all that I have seen going towards the airport, UFOs don't always slow down stop and hover. Most of them don't seem to want to pass the airport up without at lease a fly by :). It's a hot spot. I've seen them go under our jets. Our jet maneuver like normal, so I don't think the airport or the pilots were aware of this happening when I saw it.

I saw a low flying completely silent craft float slowly over I684 in Katonah NY in 1980. So did all the people of the pulled over cars on either side of the 6 lanes. It had lights on the periphery. I couln't fathom something that large and so low and slow making no sound. It covered half the sky. I know what I saw. Never saw another one; will never forget it.
As a researcher (for fun,) with experience, I again thank Roger for his reporting, and what I think he's also "reporting between the lines." There have been two postings to MUFON this year from St. Louis alone of large silent triangles directly over the city, within 2 miles of the International airport: Roger presented an October 24th siting. Now, the pyramid over the Kremlin! One side of a such a pyramid, facing the observer, would be lite as a "triangle UFO." What about the December 10th NH posting in MUFON of a "pyramid" floating in the air by the scene of an unexplained accident?
Authorities and organizations are bound to present information only once they know what they may say it is. If they don't know what something is, we may not ever know that there even is a real mystery! Roger, thanks for letting us know more about some of these mysteries so that we too have a chance to wonder :)

Alcohol does not cause hallucinations. I don't know why people who report seeing odd things, feel the need to state they have not been drinking. Sudden withdrawal after heavy, long-term, drinking will cause hallucinations but those are of black dots and those are often interpreted by the brain as dark colored small things, such as spiders, bugs in general, mice, or bats. Enough with the "pink elephant" nonsense. :-(
There definitly seem to be alot more activity going on this year ... And they are revealing themselves more openly for all to see ... Our goverment is still hiding the facts !!! ... As far as chasing these ufo's ... What's the use , they are ahead of us so far in technology that we could never catch up tyo them unless they want us to ...

As a licenced pilot, I would watch the night sky for air traffic. Outside on a summer night I saw an aircraft that looked like a round,orange-red glowing ball. It entered a flight path I was familiar with and came directly overhead, then stopped. I was surprised at it's slowness and silence, but when it just stopped overhead, it blew me away. A helicopter can stop and hover and makes noise. The craft reversed it's path 180 degrees and in silence shot off out of sight, faster than any jet. Stunned and still watching the direction it left I saw it come into sight again, slowly returning to the same spot over head. Then like an elevator it shot up a thousand feet and proceeded on it's oringinal path at a "cruising" speed. When it stopped overhead I had a distinct feeling I was being observed, scanned is more like it. There's no category for this experience, it most definitely was not a weather balloon.
i am in southeast ky, last year i seen a football field sized object above my house, it was so close, if i would have had a flash light i could have shined it on it... it was 4am it had whit lights all over, and the front was shaped like a rocket, i could see it was several stories high, and could even see kind of into the windows. i thought it was going to hit the tops of the trees behind my house, thats how low it was. and completely silent. i started screaming and pounding on my porch, i wanted someone to come outside and see it, before it disappeared... my daughter seen the tail end before it disappeared over the mountain behind my house... people still thought i was wierd, when i told them, but my husband wanted to believe me. this was last year, in the summer of 2009... well this year my husband and his brother and nephew where riding 4 wheelers one night, and when coming home... they seen the same thing, my husband said there it is, thats what (me) seen... now they understand how i feel, and they know that what i seen is real. and who do i tell this to... who can i share it with? and what was it?
