There may be multiple witnesses to this June 30 UFO sighting, as reported from an Idaho witness who was driving and saw what he first thought was an airplane about to crash, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
“It was going so fast towards the ground and then stopped abruptly,” the witness wrote.
The object then hovered momentarily, and took off into the sky again.
Then it moved at a high rate of speed toward the ground again as though it was going to crash, but stopped again.
The witness continued driving toward the object until the object was very close. The witness says the object on close inspection had a series of blue and white lights and was hovering 3 to 4 feet over a field, before flying right by the witness.
The witness also observed other vehicles had pulled over behind his vehicle and were watching the object as well.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Idaho MUFON Director Augustine Fawkes investigates and reports back on this case, I will update this page.

ID, June 30, 2009 - It was flying really fast, with really bright lights.
i was driving home from a friends house at about 11 pm on june 30th 09. i thought i was seeing an airplane about to crash into the ground 2 mins from me.
i was so scared because i thought it would blow up right there in front of me. it was going so fast twards the ground and then stopped abruptly.
it hovered for a second and took off really fast twards the left at a 45 degree angle.it was so strange so i started to pay attention.
then it looked like it was about to crash a second time, but didnt once again. about 1 min later i was driving right next to the thing. the lights were really really bright. big white lights and smaller blue ones in a pattern. [white, blue, white, blue and so on]. not like any aircraft i have seen.
it was hovering 3-4 feet over a field. then it took off past me right as i was driving by. there were a few people pulled over behind me so im sure they were watching it too.

I live in nampa idaho, i was outside on the phone about 1:30am july 1 09 -- looking into the west toward the moon i seen a bright-star light object cover 50% of the sky in matter of sec. i know that it WASN'T blinking like a plane it was so high and seemed to be traveling an easy triple the speed of anything i've seen a fighter jet travel. Plus is was just to high and bright. 15 sec from the moon to the big- dipper. was way higher then normal and like i said "high rate of speed was unmatchable like our own" . Now i was only coming forward because of this fellow. breath taking sight its my second sighting in this area since the last 1 month living here in idaho. but two days before moving from seattle i witnesss another ufo. but hopefully more come forward--- (back to) the person i was talking with july 1 while i seen this last craft was more spooked then me due to the fact it stopped me in my tracks as i was covering important relation-issues. please contact me: jdaniels3rz@gmail.com
