A green light UFO was spotted July 6 by multiple witnesses over Boca Raton, Florida, according to witness reports filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
One witness said it was "a green glowing diamond shaped object, about 100ft above us, floating"

FL, July 6, 2009 - Green Glowing Object Floating and moving erratically
I have two eyewitness reports.
Around 9 P.M. a friend called me to come outside. There was a green light in the sky, but it was too close to be a star. It was moving side-to-side and hovering, like nothing I have ever seen before. I jumped in my car and drove to its location.
It was a green glowing diamond shaped object, about 100ft above us, floating. We watched and took pictures as more bystanders showed up. It slowly started to move NE.
Then all of a sudden it shot 30 ft east in seconds. It was unbelievable. We watched it move half a block east then come to a stop.
A police officer eventually showed up and asked us what we were doing. He saw the object also and had no idea what it was.

Around this time we saw a white wire sticking out of both sides of this UFO. I have no pictures of it though. It eventually went very high in the sky and slowly faded away. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen.
Monday night I was driving West on SW 18th Street in Boca Raton to pick my Family up at my brother’s home in the area and I noticed a “different” light in the sky.
What caught my eye is that the angle changed as I was driving. That’s what first increased my interest. There was a car behind me so I turned North On Isabella and stopped the car. I got out of my car and observed something really incredible.
After a few minutes a jogger came buy and when I pointed it out to him, he got a little freaked out. I was on the telephone with my wife at my brother’s home telling her what I was seeing. They all went outside and didn’t see anything because perhaps for the tree lines and they were about a ½ mile away.
I went to pick everyone up, my wife, two daughters and my Father-in-law and went back to the scene. When we returned, there were about 20 people, mostly kids in the street all on their cell phone going a little nuts. My Family got out of the car not really expecting anything. That didn’t last long.
About 5 minutes later, my brother showed up with his daughter, he was skeptical from the onset. When he got out of his car, the UFO was just hovering, but when it started to move, he, like everyone else started to scream. My brother is a local dentist in town and he called a colleague of his that lives in the neighborhood too, same reaction.
This was a VERY clear night with a full moon. There were a few white clouds. One of the kids had a pair of binoculars. Eric Vandernoot, the astronomer at Florida Atlantic University has no clue. There were no sounds, no motor sounds, no weather balloon, no laser, nothing but the shape with movement that is unexplainable from any technology we have to produce such an event.
The movement at times was so vast that a weather balloon would have to be miles in size and in that case you would have to see it.. This was truly a remarkable event that can not be identified. It was in the air too long to have been propelled too fast by a remote hobby aircraft, and no sound. I can see now how someone would have to explain this away as a hoax. I have better than 20/20 corrected vision, don’t drink etc, have a very technical and mechanical background and know this was way beyond a backyard hoax or even a far, far stretch for Disney.

Whether this particular incident is a "genuine" sighting, or not, I don't know.
However, there is something exciting to announce to anyone interested in mysterious happenings in our skies....

.....there's a huge resemblance here with the Stephenville sightings. Light darting around....strange patterns....
Man, it'll be nice once the media stop treating this topic like it's lunacy. C'mon media people, wake up!!! There's too many instances for all of these to be hoaxes. Don your research...
I turned off the sound when the 'news reporters' started talking. The flight pattern looked a lot like the one in Duncansville, PA and some other videos from last year. Again, I have to say someone or something is trying to attract attention to the skies.
Eric Vandernoot, an astronomer at Florida Atlantic University, says it wasn't the space station, but it was definitely not a UFO either. "I think it's something here of earth nothing extra terrestrial."
He has a few theories on what it could really be.
He claims it looks similar to debris falling from a satellite, but that wouldn't dart across the sky the way the witnesses described.
Vandernoot explains, this could just be a hoax.
He says someone could have been flashing a green laser onto a balloon or something else floating in the sky.
But the teens say, what they saw was real.
They feel there's no way a laser could have done the things they witnessed.
According to Helrich , "there's no way this is a hoax. I know it looks like a hoax cause it's just kids, but it's not a hoax."
Vandernoot says, "I know they want a good UFO story, and trust me , scientists, especially space scientists, would love a good UFO story too, but they have no evidence."
Is this astronomer Mr Eric Vandernoot a nuts? He could not posstively identify what it was, and declare it is not UFO? Does he understand English what UFO refer to?
I just do not understand how these so-called scentists are so biased.

My name is Morgan and I am the MUFON investigator assigned to this case. So far this object has been seen in other location of the east coast and we are working hard to get to the bottom of this. Authorities and airports are cooperating with us in this search.
What we know is according to the witnesses the object is solid as seen through binoculars. It is in the shape of a rice grain and at a small size. The object has been spotted again but in a blue neon color. The object was not a simple floating object or light in the sky. It has been described as moving erratically and at very high speeds. The video and photos are not very good. The movement you see in the videos is from the camera operator of a cell phone camera but the movement has been described the same by many witnesses. my friends and i once made our own low-budget x-files parody with the official mulder and scully barbies for a school competition
our "UFO" looked a lot like this, and moved a lot like this as well
it was a bundle of glow-sticks attached to a pukka pie tin hanging from a couple of matt-black helium balloons
because the balloons are non-reflective and black, it's virtually impossible to see them at night, everything else is just a trick of perspective
by twisting the glowsticks into a weird shape, as it spins in the wind, it appears to be twisting and re-shaping itself
anyone who wants to take themselves seriously as a UFOlogist should spend a few evenings letting helium balloons out of their back gardens and watching how they move
it's really eerie the way they'll drift steadily towards something, then suddenly shoot off in another direction as a cross wind catches them
i'd love to say i'm as excited about this as some of the other posters, but i think you've been had.
that is no laser light my friend. Scientist are just mad they have never seen a UFO. don't worry all in good time. This light was also seen in Ohio, as well as japan and Australia in the past and in the present. no ion lasers 100 years ago. even an ion laser is not this powerful. If so it would be a really expensive hoax. It is a by product of a electrogravitational field engine most likely using elements not known to the public as of yet. You saw a genuine UFO don't let the scientist take that away from ya. Eye witness isn't good enough for UFO's however it is good enough for our history. Never physically touched the Mayflower does that mean it doesn't exist. According to scientist it does not. Never seen or touched Alexander the great so therefore he does not exist. Only eye witness accounts of him as well as most of our history. Do Scientist deny all of Human history. There are written records of UFO's and USO's. You can't have it both ways my friends. Scientist are the minority
Not to many hoaxes can illuminate clouds like the sun. When I saw this light it was cloudy and dark weather was getting bad I had thought at first of Ball lightning I have studied up on ball lightning and it is small. This light illuminated threw thick clouds and lit them up like the sun. Explain that you can't. Don't be afraid of the unknown. It will be Okay. Science will not get credit for discovering UFO's because they have denied them for far too long. But don't listen to me see for yourself.
last night i saw a very very bright green light that sort of looked like a star...and i was just looking at it fly but it was not moving around like the one in this video but it was so weird and it few straight over my house with no sound. I was too scared so i didn't record it but i wanna know could that be a ufo?
