An Indiana witness called a friend's cell phone while watching a silent, triangle-shaped UFO "about the size of a football field" that was hovering in the air on July 21, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness stated that the object was "about as high up in the air as a hospital helicopter would fly."
The object was described as having one light on each of its three points, and the body was black, although "more like metal, he could see shades on the sides. But it was still dark."
Reports of "mile wide" or "football field" length UFOs are not uncommon. Example accounts include:

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Ohio MUFON State Director William E. Jones investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
IN, July 21, 2010 - My friend was driving to work and called me as he saw it hovering over the field. MUFON Case # 24713.
On July 21 my friend called my cell phone at 9:47, and said: "you won't beleive it but i'm seeing what i'm seeing.
There's a huge black triangle with lights on its sides about half mile away from me, about the size of football field, just hovering in the air".
He doesn't beleive in anything, so it was not like him to make it up. After i said that he's joking etc, i asked him a few questions. He seemed pretty shocked and sounded very unusual.
So from the information i got from him, it was a black triangle the size of football field, not moving or making any sound, about as high up in the air as a hospital helicopter would fly.
There was no light on the bottom ( i asked if there was after looking at pictures online), just the 3 lights on the sides. It was about 20 feet thick.
He've never heard about a UFO of this kind. Tried taking a picture but it was too dark and too far. He was also running late for work so didn't stop to watch what is going to happend, just drove by it. He said he was looking at it as was talking to me on the cell phone.
To add to the describtion, he said it wasnt really all black. It was more like metal, he could see shades on the sides. But it was still dark.
He's still pretty shocked and doesn't want to talk about it much, and havn't told many people about what he saw.

I saw one just like that in 2005 at the intersection of Terex Rd and Rt 91 in Hudson, Ohio. Exactly like this describes. I drove under it and there was no noise. You couldn't even hear your tires on the pavement. I was seen by many people from the Cinemark nearby.
We have had a couple of these things reported in Texas. One sighting back in April was over Houston. The witness was able to phone me while she was seeing the object. The witness was a retired fashion designer immediately drew what she saw. Gave very good detail.
This type craft in abundance has been seen and filmed by some near crawford ranch, texas. Rarely does anyone mention the fact that that is where the president of the united states has lived for almost a decade. the sightings became much more numerous(and public) when he became president. i found it almost surreal that the press would never mention this fact and almost as shocking that the public really didnt want to know that...that knowing would cause them to ponder - geez i wonder if our govt can really 'protect' us. ha what a laugh.
my son, wife, and myself witnessed a triagular shaped object with three lights at each angle and when the object passed over the house in silents a fourth light flickered on. none of theses lights cast a beem. the object was large and moved very slow with out a sound directly over us and the house. we watched the object for about 4 minutes. when it left are sight there where an a aditional two larger round orange lights evenly spaced on the rear of the craft. this sighting happened two and a half years ago in south west florida, and has never left my mind. i live in indiana now with my family and there isnt a night that go's bye that i dont look up. i just recently seen two balls of light two nights in a row at 7:50 pm in warsaw indiana, this recent experiance exited me but pailed in comparison to my experiance in florida. my interest has peaked and the dicoveries in investigating ufo evidence of all kinds has been a journey that brings a feeling too a sence of purpose. i feel also that this phenomenom is bigger than i can imagine and i am greatfull not only to have seen what i have seen but in some wierd way i feel privledged to have seen this object, i know that sounds wierd.
