Several related 2008 UFO reports from the same region in California may be the same craft, according to one of the witnesses from Calabasas.
The witness said that during the same time period, a Sacramento News 10 helicopter also captured the object on video. See video at top of this page and read the story about their experience.

CA, November 14, 2008 - Huge V shaped, with red flashing lights. MUFON Case # 13714.
In this case, the Calabasas witness and her husband were having dinner on their deck overlooking the San Fernando Valley when they "observed a very large, silent, V shaped craft that had red flashing lights around its perimeter" moving south to north.
CA, November 14, 2008 - V shaped faint starlight intensity lights slowly going across sky from south to north. MUFON Case # 15928.
This California witness "saw a large v-shaped grouping of lights, it seemed about 6 or so starlight intensity lights on each side of the leading edges of the wings of the 'v'." The large, slow-moving object was the "color of a dim star."

A California couple sitting in their convertible noticed an "unusualy large object in the north east sky." They described the object as "an absolutely enormous V shaped craft was lazily headed due north, it's lack of forward speed almost suggested a lighter than air vehicle if it was a reasonably sized craft, but I knew what I was seeing was either a distorted sense of scale, or this "V" had to be several hundreds of feet across MINIMUM!" There were a numbe of red lights on the craft and "a reddish glow emeinating or reflecting off of the bottom, almost a shimmering, with some intricate fine detail barely visible underneath through the reddish glow I first attributed to reflection from the nearby forrest fire." With no possible abstructions to cut their view, the object vanished in "no more than 5 seconds."
CA, November 14, 2008 - On 11-14-08 I heard low humming sound which caused me to look up , that's when I seen 7 to 8 red lights on the sides of what looked like a diamond or triangle shaped craft. MUFON Case # 13731.
A witness in Sylmar, California, first heard a "low humming noise" in the sky, look up, and "noticed 7 to 8 bright red lights on what looked like a very large diamond or triangular shaped craft" moving slowly over the northeast end of the San Fernando Valley skies. The "red lights were stationary and suddenly they began to move rapidly around the edge of the craft in a strobe like fashion." Then "large object appeared to seperate into 7 smaller crafts,each had one white light with a red light encircling it very rapidly." The smaller objects flew off in different directions and one flew back toward their home. They then noticed that this object "had 4 white lights on its underside and a single red light going rapidly around it."The witness also relates that about an hour later, around 10:30 p.m., a major fire broke out in the exact area where these craft were flying and wonders if they had anthing to do with it.
CA, November 14, 2008 - Black Isoceles Triangle. MUFON Case # 13719.
Two California witnesses first saw a "moving light floating across the sky." And then about one minute later, they noticed a "HUGE black isocolese triangular UFO with 8 (I believe, maybe 7 or 9) red lights on the front, left, and right sides, coming at us with the V of the triangle in front, very, very slowly." The object "was less than 100 feet in the air, and when it got over my backyard, the red lights started blinking very rapidly, like the way the red lights on a modem would blink. Rapid and untamed. It took about a minute and a half for it to get from one end of my yard to the other, which is about 50 feet, so if you did the math on that you would figure out how fast it was going." They described the object as a few hundred feet, a few hundred feet in length, and 50 feet in height and "solid, perfectly shaped, very black, no sound, very close." They moved to a different location to look for the object, and noticed "there were dozens of helicopters and planes in the sky. Dozens. They were everywhere. It was like an invasion of our own air force."
The Calabasas witness said that the following video - taken almost one year earlier to the day - seemed to match what she saw.

I think this is a man made craft. The military only flies this at night. Someone needs to shine a search light on it and chase it with a helicopter. We are bound to find out what it really is if we pursue it in an orderly and persistent manner.

Sorry that last video was on the net more than a year ago and it was determined to be a squadron of fighters in well... V formation. They do this for drill all the time. Night flights, practicing formations or uav etc.

Investigation Report text: This is report #2 of a multiple witness sighting of the same craft, on the same evening, and in the same general area. Also occurring during this time were several large wildfires burning, again in this same area. Of the Fire Department officials that I've spoken with, none lay claim that this craft could be one of theirs.
There have been numerous reports of this craft, or a similar one fitting the same description, flying around over the San Fernando Valley, as well as areas of Santa Monica and Malibu, for the last two years that I know of. I have a hunch that this is someone's experimental remote-controlled kite, or other flying device.
A lot of people are employing these types of objects now for remote sensing purposes, as they can be equipped with a video camera and capture everything that it flies over.
There are several videos of these objects in flight that I've seen on Youtube.com. They are equipped with bright LED lights, and you can put whatever color lights that you want on them, and choose whether you want them to flash, strobe, or whatever. The humming noise, which is sometimes reported in association with this craft, is one clue that makes me suspect that it's some kind of UAV. At any rate, I'll keep searching for the source of this craft. I'm sure we've not seen the last of it. Unknown-UAV. {C.C.}

I'm an ex-Marine, I served in the Air Wing Division. These are not fighter jets as MorganFloridaMUFON says. Why don't you just try to tell us it's swap gas! You also say this film has been on the net for more than a year, and it was determined to be a squadron of fighters in a "V" formation. These girls account and film footage is only guessed to be a similar story. As for fighters explanation, your out of your tree. I worked in and around classified military aircraft daily while in the Marines. What do you base your knowledge on? The problem with MUFON investigators, unpaid. So they will pretty much take anyone who can pass the field investigator's test. This results in people who are not truly qualified to even open their mouth. Some and I mean SOME OF THEM are merely educated idiots without the common sense to use what they have learned. * Also MorganFloridaMUFON said Unknown-UAV. Unknown? You mean as unidentifiable? That makes it a Unidentified Flying Object. Hence the term "UFO".
Nellis AFB is not far north of the area the girls taped.
What I can't deal with, is why a UFO would have strobing
lights to begin with. Or for that matter, any lights at all.
Logic dictates: stealth technology would be hundreds if not
thousands of years in advance. I think the girls did a dubie
over the grape vine.
Position lights on an aircraft. (FAA-H-8083-3)
Pilots have to know this. It's on the test to get your pilots License etc. Basic knowledge of every pilot, why they have to know this and why the lights are placed on every aircraft in certain placement and color.
A red light is located on the left wing tip, a green light is located on the right wing tip and a white light is located on the tail.
*If the pilot observes a green light to his right and red light to his left then other aircraft is moving away from his position.
*If the pilot observes a red light to his right and a green light to his left, the other plane is approaching the pilot's position.
*If the pilot sees only a green light, then the other aircraft is moving left to right in relation to the pilot's position.
*If the pilot sees only a red light, then the aircraft is moving right to left in relation to the pilot's position.
I hope this helps everyone to understand more about how to identify our aircraft etc.

I saw a very similar (if not the same) object on 12/3/04 flying over Los Angeles at about 8:00pm (I filed a report with NUFORC). It was huge. The red lights on each point would flash at the same time -- then about four or five lights would flash on one side edge, a couple more would flash on the opposite side edge, then one or two within the body of the triangle's underside. It was so big I couldn't understand where it could land (assuming it's one of ours). It's way too big for any known runway. Also, why would the military put so many eggs in one basket, so to speak -- it would cost many, many billions to build and if it crashed or was shot down (it was flying very slow) you'd lose a very expensive piece of equipment plus whatever was being transported in it (troops?). It seemed the size of an aircraft carrier.
The craft is like the V craft we see as well. Anti-gravitic, larger than a football field, very low-flying, very slow, etc. These are NOT aliens, NOT conventional aircraft or formations of aircraft.. You are seeing the transport of newly manufactured, man-made machines to AirForce bases and secret storage sites below ground as well as above ground (cloaked), all over our nation as well as other nations. There are some we build as big as a mile or two wide, though those are very few.. Humankind all across the world will have these thrust over all major populated areas, and then News reports will unleash a torrent of invasion-from-outer-space bulletins and our governments will bring out 'their' crafts and have mock battles and so forth.. Mother ships and 100-yard ships will bring terror to almost everyone, and with the promise of human-preservation, the New World Order will come into place.. We will all then be enslaved, not by aliens, but a select group of humans. This is our work..
