Great piece of writing..
Nice episode - but the reality is that we should neither fear them or put them on a moral and spiritual pedestal; they are sentient beings just as we are sentient beings. We should meet them on a face to face, mind to mind basis, knowing that whatever they have achieved we can do also. They are not that far ahead of us, technologically, that they wouldn't get their noses bloodied if they tried to impose themselves on us. The old psychological game of pretending to be our 'space brothers' or our 'gods' has gotten old. We are on the verge of becoming a space-faring world whether they are ready for us or not -just as they had to start, imperfectly, at some point in time.

I think in any and almost all situations we will have no choice in the matter. If they want to make contact with us, they will.
Until then I will consume large amounts of processed foods so when they cook me I will give them stomach cancer. The last laugh will be mine.
They have been here for centuries, well some of them....history proves this. We had better hope a new Sheriff does arrive in town with more marbles than them. Ones that are not willing to just sit back and mainly observe us. After all the ones with the most marbles can rule if they so choose too. In the end we are not the ones getting to decide if we should get to know them. They are still doing as they wish. Just as we are doing over other nations with less power etc than us....the less power the more we dictate the rules over them as well.
We will get the good and the bad, we are not in the driver's seat to pick.
Go look at an ant colony we as a human have the power. We can observe them, give them space, toy with them, weaken, hurt, help them or just out right destroy each and everyone of them. Not a fun prospect if we are the ants!

Absolutely I wanto meet them - These humans ive been interacting with just dont satisfy my 'social' needs these days - The dumbed down masses of Earth are always trying to drag us bright Lights down into their world of propaganda and nonsensical junk that is in the scheme of things - utterly meaningless.
What I wouldnt give to meet an ET race, and have extended time to get to know them ! Short of trading my soul I think I would truelly nearly give anything!

I think C H has it spot on. They have been here for a very long time and are in complete control of this Planet.
Check out the plethora of maritime sightings, sometimes involving thousands of witnesses seeing hundreds of UFOs entering or leaving the sea - sometimes for days on end!
They are already living here, and who knows how long they have been here for.They don't seem to be in any hurry to make contact or eat us, in fact they seem indifferent.
Unless governments disclose what they know, which probably isn't very much, or unless somebody with good information and a very big budget goes pro-actively searching for them,which is unfeasible, I don't see the status quo changing in the foreseeable.
From their viewpoint, does contact with humanity seem worth the effort, and is it really in their best interests?
we dont want our way of life to change, but our system is so broken that hopefully advanced lifeforms can help make greedy people stop taking advantage of the other 99%. Its so easy to fear that they are a threat to us like members of our own kind are.

Saw a TV special a LONG time ago, we're talking maybe early 90's if not before then, where they made the comment "If the intergalactic telephone rings, do NOT answer it." What was really cool about this is while they made teh statement they showed scenes from an old Space: 1999 episode where these huge motherships flew over Moonbase Alpha and bombed the CRAP out of it. I would not recommend seeking extraterrestrial contact (this is with props to whoever said absolutely correctly that if they want to contact us there ain't a helluva lot we can do about it....or do I just think someone said that?) until we know we can meet them on our own terms. This is also why I mistrust any "human" who recommends complete nuclear disarmament....truly they are working for them.
Be very careful about what you want, because you might just not be able to deal with it after you've found it. You will never be able to close that door again. Our lives aren't really that bland here on this planet. Accept what you have and make the best of it. because your experience may be short lived. Enjoy your families, culture, and heritage and the legacy you and others will leave, because it is all you have. I think that any one who has had a ufo or et experience should stop looking for further evidence. I will reinerate Stop Looking! I will answer the question for you. You are not alone! You need not know any more than that! No harm has come to the people this planet or the planet itself. When they are ready they will present themselves. but you must be ready also. I can't say this enough! You must be ready. It will change everything, I mean everything that you know and will know in the furture for eons to come. you keep asking the Government to release more information about this subject, but you need to ask yourself instead, " Do I really want to know" The information That I have is extremely valuable, but is it worth the dramatic change that will come about. I say no. At least not until we learn to deal with our own stupid petty problems.
