On 11/24/09 at 9:45 pm, a commercial airline pilot in the Cordova area was looking to the north at departing air-traffic from the Memphis airport, when he saw what he described as a diamond-shaped craft pass directly under a CRJ-200 [Canadair Regional Jetliner]. This pilot who has asked to remain anonymous said the jet was flying at about 8000 feet and the Unknown flew under it at an approximate altitude of 6000 feet [a close call in terms of air-traffic safety regulations]. The pilot said the UFO was on a flight path from east to west and traveling at somewhere between Mach 1 and Mach 1.5. He said that it was banking slightly to the north-west as it flew under the jet, so he got a view of its underside. He described it as a perfect triangle with dim white lights at its corners and about 200 ft across, easily as large as a 747. Though it was somewhat hazy in appearance, he said he saw it distinctly enough to make out that it was a solid body with the lights attached. It had no stobe lights and was totally silent. He observed it for about 20 seconds until it passed out of sight .
This man has been flying all his life and is very knowledgable about airplanes. He said he has never personally witnessed any aircraft this strange before. He commented in the interview the next day with the MUFON Tennessee State Director that he was very confident that it was nothing of ours, military or otherwise. In his report to the MUFON CMS files, he concluded by stating that this sighting left him feeling numb. When interviewed, he admitted that he was still shaken by what he had witnessed.
When asked if he experienced anything else strange or unusual in the immediate aftermath of this sighting, he mentioned that one hour after he saw the UFO, a helicopter flew directly over his house at about 3500 ft. altitude coming from the same direction the triangle UFO had been heading when it departed. He said this helicopter had no lights on it! This is in serious violation of FAA regulations, especially as this was within a fifteen-mile radius of the Memphis airport. He said that not even military aircraft can turn their lights off unless it is a combat situation. He did say he was able to see a dim light in the cockpit of the chopper. And he also said that it was a single prop and at least 80% certain that it was a Bell Jet Ranger which is used by not only the military but also by the police and hospitals.
[This pilot sent an e-mail after the interview with a link to some video footage of the Belgium triangle UFO that many observed flying in the night skies of that country in the early 90's and stated that this was exactly what he saw.]

Let me clarify...I was the pilot that saw this object, and it was Triangular. It was rounded at all three corners. I'd be happy to answer any more questions, but would be more interested in knowing if anyone else saw this object, or anything like it in the area. Thank you.
Also, I would like to thank Eddie Middleton for publishing this sighting. I have held a pilots license in one form or another for 23 years. I am attending college in Texas to obtain a Masters in History specialising in Aviation History. In those years of flying I had a brief sighting in 2005 that could probably be dismissed as flares (though I doubt it seriously). When I was based in MEM earlier this year, I noticed almost immediately strnge things in the sky -from "stars" that would move, to "stars" that would double in size and dissapear. All those, although very strange could have an explination. This could have only one. That it iseither a VARY black project. Or, that it is a craft under control of carbon life from other "places". "Why Extraterrestrials live in an atmosphere of planets"
When I wrote the article "Aliens live in our Earth's atmosphere", many people began to ask me why they live there? The answer to this question was that most likely they have lost their planet as the result of either the cosmic catastrophe or changed climate so much that it became impossible for habitation of living beings, including aliens.
This response, though explains the presence of aliens in our earth's atmosphere, but does not explain why they live in it but not on our planet. After all, with their highly-developed technology does not cost anything to conquer our land and become masters of the situation. But this does not happen, even though they live in our atmosphere over tens of thousands of years. It was only in September of 2009 I solved this riddle.
Years ago, I saw a craft that was eerily similar to the one that was reported in Belgium (and now in Memphis, among other places) during the early 90's, though it was much smaller -- about the length of a bus. Flew directly over the road in front of my house, almost low enough to touch the power lines. The features on it's underside were the same -- a white light on each tip. It made almost no noise, just a slight humming.
First and only UFO encounter I've ever had and I've always thought that it was an advanced black project flown by the US Air Force, though why they would fly such a craft at low altitude over a densely populated area is beyond me. Testing its visibility and how many people would report it, perhaps? I know not.
In response to TEZ: After I saw this triangle, I did'nt think "alien", I thought "military black-project". In response to the fact that this 'triangle' UFO that you saw being much smaller; let me add that the US military has always made smaller "mock-ups" of its high dollar vehicles. For instance, the latest Lockheed 'Skunk Works' stealth blimp was flown as a smaller scale test aircraft, as was the F-117, and many other high-dollar programs. It's simply a way to test an airframe at minimal cost to the developer. It would'nt surprise me at all if that's what they were doing with this project. As I said to the Director of MUFON Tennesee: "when I saw this craft, I did'nt say 'Oh my God...aliens are here!' What I said to myself was;"Oh my God, the goverment is holding a lot from us!"
5 years ago above my acreage at night I was watching stars while smoking outside, when suddenly 3 stars that I found seemed to form a perfect triangle rotated 360 degrees, then the top star moved off slowly and silently right beside my house at the height of the nearby radio tower. I did notice that when the "triangle rotated it had blocked out other stars, so it seemed to be an object and not just 3 lights. All I could think of is " This is it! There is no more wondering!!" and I had goosebumps all over my body, and my eyes were watering up from shock I think.

Back in 2005, on I-40 coming from Southaven to Memphis, I saw two lights equally spaced apart and an outline of a large craft...hazy as if just hanging in the sky, not moving. It was hard but you noticed it as being odd during the day time. I saw it also when I went to work at 4am...and once it flashed a red light. it was spooky! I saw it for a week straight before it disappeared. For some reason, Mississippi and TENN are hotspots.

Even if it's been years, it's good to have documentation of all the sightings that are similar in a certain area....Curiously, all of the "triangle" sightings seem to be unbelievably similar. A black, or dark triangle object, with either dull or bright white lights at all corners, and (as I witnessed) a "hazy" or "fuzzy" outline. It was incredible to say the least....Some say that the famous Lockheed "Skunk Works" is working on a microwave propulsion system....This would explain the "fuzzy" appearance.

I saw something similar when I was 18 I'm 52 now. I never reported it I was still in high school so no way was I telling anyone. I was with a friend who also never told anyone. It was real and amazing.
