Is Robert Bigelow's home state of Nevada likely to host the first SIP Team deployment?

STAR Team Impact Project  Robert Bigelow the Las Vegas billionaire who just recently funded The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) to create The Star Team Impact Project (SIP) *, may be about to get what he placed his order for : a heady sip of alien tea---and  from his own home state to boot! On May 6th an event of high ET impact occurred in the desert just outside of Fallon, Nevada. In the late evening a young couple were just driving back in from the desert when they had a hair-raising close encounter of the first kind. To appreciate the potential this event may hold for yielding the kind of material for scientific analysis that Bigelow is hoping to get, one needs to read the complete testimony of the witnesses on the MUFON website (www.mufon.com) under "Search UFO Data Base."  MUFON thinks this may qualify as a catergory 2, or even 3, event (Vallee Classification) where there have been physical effects on the environment or the witnesses by the UFO.

In order to emphasize the intensity of this UFO encounter experience, I will quote some excerpts from the testimony of these two witnesses [bold face italics will be mine].

Young Girl : My boyfriend and I were driving around in the desert. We had been out there for a while, and soon it got very dark. We were driving back on our way home, when we both saw 3 objects** in the distance, with lights we had never seen before, flying in a unusual way, in a group...One started going down towards the ground and disappeared like it had crashed. The other two continued to fly, almost towards us. We started to chase them! We started after them, and they flew right by us many times. One specifically seemed to keep coming back to us .... We parked the truck after watching it fly by us and over us several times. It was completely silent...

Young man : ...the craft that had been parallel to us flew over the top of us twice, then sort of drifted back the way it came, then hovered maybe 200-300 yards away. My girlfriend plugged in my three million candle power spotlight to see if I could make contact with the seemingly translucent craft. I covered the lens until I was sure to be aimed at the craft. As I uncovered the light, it was close enough that the light reflected off of it....the craft swooped in like an airplane would banking until it was facing us with five super bright white-orange lights. It stayed and hovered at less than 100 yards away for about ten minutes...then it flew off and back, going over us twice, then hovering again. It seemed as if it was playing with us.

Young girl : We started to get scared and jumped back in the truck. As soon as we did, the craft moved and went behind us as if it was following us.

The UFOs followed them until the lights of the town were visible and then turned back. When the girl got home, she drew a picture for her father, and he called the Naval base in Fallon. They told him they had no aircraft in the area except a C130. The two narratives in the reports the young man and his girlfriend filed with MUFON are a little confusing to follow, doubtless because these two traumatised teenagers were still in a very high state of excitement when they wrote them down. Besides being mutually corroborating, these hurriedly written accounts most definitely attest to the fact that this young couple were caught up in a very heavy involvemnt with UFOs in the Nevada desert on the night of May 6, 2009. You might say these witnesses were being messed with "Big Time."

Because of this unusually high level of interaction with the phenomenon, the Nevada State MUFON Director Mark Easter thinks this incident qualifies as a C2 category and also possibly even as a C3 because there was apparently an approximate one-hour of missing time. This was indicated by the fact that though both of the experiencers estimated their encounter to have lasted no more than ten or fifteen minutes, the clock on the truck dashborad had been noticed showing 9:15 pm at the start of the event and then as showing 10:10 pm afterwards. Easter stated in the CMS initial assessment that pending further verification of the witnesses' reliability, a SIP Team Deploymnet is warranted. If the MUFON civilian investigator boys are not rapidly deployed on this case, then one wonders what it would take to get them activated? They can't expect to just sit around and wait until an ET smoking gun is served up to them on a silver platter [or silver saucer as the case may be] before they swing into action.

Just hours after this high impact UFO event, someone else's "SIP" team had already slipped in to thoroughly comb the area. In the last part of her testimony, the young girl told the rest of what ensued on that same night

"My boyfriend and his father went back out to where we were. When they got there, there were helicopters with spotlights on the ground, several trucks also with spotlights driving through the desert. A black SUV with very dark tinted windows driving towards the area where we saw the craft. And men walking around with spotlights in the desert. As if they all were looking for something."

It was like they were re-enacting the scene from the new SIP Team promotion poster! I note this as quite a curious coincidence as this will probably be the first major UFO event to occasion the rapid delpoyment of MUFON's SIP Team and also as it has occurred in Robert Bigelow's own home state.

** the craft sighted were boomerang shaped UFOs.

I just wanted to note that the SIP Category is not the same as the Vallee Classification although it is related. The Vallee classification has 4 types with 5 categories each whereas the SIP Category has 4 types but only three categories
