Hong Kong students criticize cancellation of UFO exopolitics course

Students at Hong Kong University have condemned the abrupt cancellation of a course exploring Exopolitics and UFO phenomena. The Hong Kong Institute of Ufology and the University of Hong Kong jointly sponsored the optional course. The course was scheduled for last September but the university canceled it.

Hong Kong's widest and most distributed newspaper, the Apple Daily, reported in a headline that, “A high level within the science faculty put pressure on Hong Kong University General Education Department and called off exopolitics lectures four hours before doors opened.” Based on the Apple Daily article, the Asia One News said also “the course was delayed and discussions were held on offering it at a later date after some academics expressed reservations about its content, Moon Fong, a committee member of the institute, told AFP. Some members of the university's science faculty were concerned that the course would present only the views of the UFO experts," Fong said.

The emerging field of exopolitics is new to North American education as well. But in Canada, Victor Viggiani, Director of Media Relations at Exopolitics Toronto, was given full access to present a lecture series Exopolitics course at the University of Toronto in Canada. He said, “The response was amazing! Most had no idea that this type of political intrigue, regarding high levels of government secrecy, is standard practice among our government intelligence organizations.”

On October 26, Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado sponsored a three-hour presentation titled; “We Are Not Alone! An Exopolitical, Academic Perspective.” It was one of the first such events sponsored by a college in the U.S. The speakers were:

-- Lisa Lanyon, a professor at Red Rocks Community College
-- Paola Harris, International free-lance journalist, author of two books, and a teacher of online courses in “Exopolitics, the  Media, and Hollywood” at the Exopolitics Institute, and
-- Jeff Peckman, author and spokesperson for the ballot initiative to create and Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver

Paola Harris showed astonishing and convincing photos of people and craft of extraterrestrial origin. Her new online course is based on current research that involves the role of preparing the masses for the fact that “we are not alone” in the Universe. She states that “Governmental intervention, starting with Disney and the Hollywood film industry, has been part of a subtle disclosure process to prepare the general public.”

Talking about outer space from the view of only the physical sciences is like talking about Earth without mentioning that human beings live here. A valuable introduction to the field of Exopolitics and extraterrestrial civilizations, people and vehicles, can be gained from available online courses, books, and DVDs.

Neil Gould, of Exopolitics Hong Kong, is hoping for a favorable and quick resolution to the Hong Kong problem. But he has stated that it could become a public relations nightmare for Hong Kong University.
It might be that east meets west, but only in outer space.

Yeah, and the evangelical Christians thought George Lucas was in THEIR pocket with the "Indiana Jones" franchise... until "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was released! I think imputing any motive to Hollywood other than making money shows a lack of experience with the American movie industry. As Samuel Goldwyn (the "G" of MGM) is supposed to have said, "If you want to send a message, use Western Union!" And BTW, is "Earth Girls Are Easy" also part of this desensitization campaign? ;-)

Thank you Mr. Peckman for your continued upbeat coverage on this topic. It has been said that the term exopolitics may be a bit premature in that we know so little about the human -alleged Et relationship. The UFO truth campaign sets the stage for bringing an end to the corporate-government academic denial of the importance of this issue. I hope to meet you in Denver at the annual Mufon meeting.
