Twitter has ditched its normal blue colors today, and gone red. As in, Product (Red), to support World AIDS Day. The main Twitter page has been changed to red, and Twitter has even made it possible for users to turn their tweets red. If you're already signed on to Twitter, you'll have to sign out to see the change to the main Twitter page.
Whenever a user includes the #red or #laceupsaveslives hashtag in their tweet, the service turns the text of that tweet red on the Twitter page. The effort is part of the Turn Red initiative, which is trying to help battle AIDS in Africa.
In addition to Twitter's changes, @JoinRed is tweeting facts about AIDS regularly to raise awareness.
