Conservative radio host, Rush Limbaugh was rushed to the Queens Medical Center according to television station KITV. According to reports, Limbaugh was taken to the hospital for severe chest pains. Limbaugh's hospitalization quickly made it's way to Twitter's trending topics section. Tweets of compassion and hatred filled the Twitter stream.
Thousands passed the news forward in retweets and hundreds sent angry tweets wishing Limbaugh would meet continued misfortune or death. Limbaugh has many fans on Twitter but has earned the ire of many due to the diatribe in his radio talk show. Limbaugh often lashes out against liberal political figures including the President of the United States.
Some Twitter users were dismayed by angry tweets directed at Limbaugh, @jasoncrouch tweeted, "Shocked & dismayed at the hatred displayed here toward Rush Limbaugh. Right, wrong, or indifferent, cheering for someone to die is wrong."

He's lucky he's not poor and unemployed
This man's ego and arrogance (talent on loan from God) his admission that the only callers allowed on-air are those who make him look good (dittoheads) his arrogance toward equal rights for women (Feminazis) his possession of Viagra without a prescription, and doctor shopping for multiple prescriptions of Vicodin, and his wish for President Obama to fail just makes me think that people get what's coming to them.
This news made my day. I hope he died soon. I really do.
I usually have compassion even for people I don't like, but I really don't feel any for Limbaugh. Maybe I'm not the bad person for wishing ill upon him. Maybe he really is just a miserable person.
A "Pray for Rush" group has been set up on Facebook.
Dear Frank, your claim that he only accepts people who agree with him (which is the true meaning of Dittohead, not just people who make him feel good) on his radio show only shows that you've not listened to his show.
Apparently you base your opinion, then, on the opinions of others who speak in angst and ire against Rush, and not necessarily from truth.
As such, you have no place commenting because you have neither experience nor original thought in the matter.

Bob: Rush started poor and working min wage jobs after dropping out of college. There is nothing "lucky" about his success. He has built his wealth through sheer force of will and relentlessly refining his craft. Agree or disagree with his politics, the fact that he is a self-made man still remains. The problem with people who believe as you do is the fundemantal lack of taking responsibility for yourself and wellbeing. Saying someone who is wildly successful and wealthy is simply "lucky" shows that you believe people have no influence on their own rise or fall and are simply victims/beneficiaries of chance. This learned helplessness is a systemic problem in our society and the reason many will never fullfill the God given potential they have.
Also, it is appropriate to note that Rush's success has paved the way for others with similiar ambitions in talk radio to fill the demand he has created and enjoy wealth and success of their own. God bless Rush and may he recover soon.

Rush has been a pressure relief valve for us conservatives for years now. We feel trapped by the onslaught of government programs designed to control, manipulate, and thieve from the people of this country. Trust me, without him and others like him true revolt is not only plausible but possible. The truth is absolute, the recent mantra of drug abuse in every news report about this is proof of liberal hatred. Rush makes us believe that freedom and truth will win out in the end, God bless him.
