Shyne's Godfather buried alive CD.
Twitter fans have reacted strongly to hip-hop artist Jamal "Shyne" Barrow's release by immigration officials. Barrow was released to his family in the country of Belize.
He had been detained for a month by immigration officials after a nine year prison term. According to reports, the prison sentence stemmed from an arrest after a Manhattan nightclub shooting of three people in 1999. Sean Combs then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, a bodyguard and chauffeur were arrested and later released or acquitted except Shyne.
According to the El Guardian in Belize, "While Shyne was being processed by Belize’s law enforcement officials, Hon. Michael Finnegan gave a statement to the desperate media representatives on the scene saying that.. Shyne did not speak to the media based on the advice of his attorney, Prof. Ogletree, who believes that a public statement may prejudice his ongoing case with the United State’s Immigration Officials."
Hundreds of tweets went out alerting fellow hip-hop fans of Shyne's release, links to old photos or video and many had strong opinions about how involved Sean "P.Diddy" Combs may have been in Shyne's demise.
