Upcoming vampire spoof sports themes too intense for teens- video

A variety of spoofs have been made about a whole host of horror flicks via the Scary Movie franchise. Now, in keeping with the recent vampire rage, a new spoof entitled Transylmania will hit theaters on December 4, just a few weeks after New Moon premieres in the U.S.

With the tagline, “College Kids: The Other White Meat,” Transylmania gleans its fodder from flicks such as Twilight, True Blood and Van Helsig.

From MTV:

The flick centers around a rag tag group of college students who embark on a study abroad semester at Razvan University in Transylvania. The trailer opens with an obvious parody of Bella's "Twilight" voiceover: "At the start of the new moon, I was absolutely positive of three things. First, Radu was a vampire. Second, my one birthday wish was to feel his kiss. Third, nothing could prepare my friends and I for our semester abroad in Transylvania!" And then dives into a slew of fright-night clichés. There's a picture-perfect girl sporting a grotesque hunchback. A cross-bow carrying vampire hunter who's obviously shopped in Van Helsing's closet. And a vampire who's dialect coach was mostly likely The Count from "Sesame Street."

But just because the vampire vein of Twilight is fairly innocent, parents should not let that innocence spill over into Transylmania, which clearly sports a raunchier plot- the word “plot” used loosely in this case:

In "Transylmania," a motley group of college students embark on the wildest, sexiest, most outrageous semester abroad ever at Razvan University. Located deep in the heart of the "cursed land" of Transylvania in a centuries-old castle, Razvan isn't your typical institution of higher learning – and the black leather-clad professors, three-foot-tall dean, instruction in crucifix-wielding, and topless vampiresses lurking in dark corners are just the start. It seems Castle Razvan was overtaken by a band of vampires led by the feared Vampire King Radu in the dark ages who's come back to reclaim it.

Trailers for Transylmania should make their debut on the big screen soon, and while the preview is suitable for all ages, the flick most certainly will not be:

Parents, don’t be fooled by this haughty, mind-numbing flick, which is suitable for adult audiences only. Let your teens stick to the Twilight franchise, even if it means frequent trips to Hot Topic to pick up the latest Edward Cullen key chains and calendars.

Ugh...that looks awful! There's absolutely nothing appealing about that and certainly doesn't look like anything I would want my child viewing! Thanks for the heads-up!
